Description

Designed from the ground up, Figurative brings the desktop-class editor experience from Figma to iPadOS—ready to work with a Magic Keyboard, a trackpad, or a mouse.

• Custom fonts: All fonts available to iOS, including ones installed by you, are available to use with the Figma editor.

• Improved pointer and keyboard support: There's plenty of multi-touch gestures for zooming and panning the canvas. Fondle of your mouse? Scroll wheels welcome too. Unnecessary elements like the autocompletion bar are automatically hidden so they don't get in your way.

• Apple Pencil: Use your Apple Pencil to make selections, drag objects, and use tools.

• Touch gestures: Use your fingers to scroll and zoom on the editor. Made a mistake? Just tap with two fingers to Undo, or three to Redo.

• Touch Shortcuts: Delete, Duplicate, Frame, Group, and much more without a keyboard.

• Export: Large projects? Share and copy exported assets in a breeze from the share sheet.

A free Figma account is required to use Figurative. Figma is a registered trademark of Figma, Inc.

I just made a design system with my iPad

Lorenzo0203 on

I was in a situation where I needed to work from my iPad. Saw recommendations for figurative from Reddit and decided to give it a shot. Using the Magic Keyboard, I was able to make a design system and started making the UI I’m working on. Figurative makes Figma surprisingly responsive and makes the iPad a capable tool for design. However, there are some issues such as commands command + z and command + shift + z taking a few presses to work. Another notable issue is when clicking on some buttons, as some buttons do not press first try. Overall very pleased with this alternative, I will definitely be using Figurative with my iPad again in the future.

Simply Brilliant!

Since purchasing my iPad, I’ve migrated most of my design work from my MacBook to this device. Figma was the only tool missing from my workflow, and since I use it everyday Figurative has filled a big void that the official app wasn’t serving. It is everything the Figma app is not. I agree with other users and would be happy to support the developer with a once off payment. Figurative deserves longevity and it would be fantastic to see this app supported long into the future. Thank you for developing this excellent tool!

What the official Figma app should be on iPad

aniliop on

Clearly this is the web version of Figma in a native app wrapper.. but it works and works far far better than the official Figma app which is just awful. But there are still quirks with this - using a mouse pointer doesn’t always allow selection of certain things such as colour palette options meaning you have to reach the screen and touch it to select the required option, breaking your flow. Evidently, this is a Figma web browser issue not belonging to this app itself. But generally, this is quite an critical app for me, I gave up my laptop a year ago and now just use iPad on the go, with a Mac Studio in the office.

Need to be supported by figma

Great stuff

AMAZING APP! But…

Brilliant that there’s figma for my iPad now but it really doesn’t support Apple Pencil. The second I touch my screen with the pencil the app freezes and only thing to do is to close it and start again. Hopefully this will get fixed soon .

Brilliant, please keep maintaining, this is so helpful

Thanks

Good

Glitchy when using Apple Pencil though, as soon as you use one you can no longer use finger based interactions. Need both at same time

Can’t make a living without this app.

Thankfully some people go out of their way to make everyone’s life easier. I use Figma full time and without Figurative there’s no hope in using Figma within Safari or Chrome on the iPad, there’s just too much lacking. Big thanks from me for making Figma usable on the iPad. FYI I would pay 20/30 dollars without hesitation for this app as it’s mission critical for me as freelance designer on the go. Make it buyable so you can dedicate some time to push new updates for Figurative. There is nothing else on the market right now or by the looks there won’t be for a long time so we need more updates and performance improvements. Great work and thanks again!

Constant Reloading

Kierannmw on

Every time I try to go into a project using this app, it constantly wants to reload, or just shows a blank page.
