Very capable and intuitive app and the developer is responsive to requests or issues. You can create some impressive graphics with this.
Steve Sprang published the source for Inkpad under a license which stated "If you choose to clone and submit this application to the App Store, you are required to make this source code (and any changes that you've made to it) publicly available". I don't think that's ever happened for this version, and now it's subscription only too, which is even worse.
Shame it doesn’t let you know it’s a pay only program before you download. Naughty!
Great app, have used Adobe illustrator for many years and this inkpad is the closest app on iPad. Although illustrator is available with limited tools etc inkpad is a very good replacement, in my opinion better, could use a few more tools but apart from that, impressed with inkpad so far👍
I’ve been using Inkpad for some years and I could not imagine creating vector graphics without it. Rock solid and an elegant and intuitive user interface. Works wonderfully on the iPad and iPad Pro. If you are an iPad user and create vector graphics I can not recommend Inkpad highly enough!
This has always been a great app and now that a new developer is continuing to support it, we can be happy it is working with the new iPadOS. As others have said, this app has always been slick, quick and clean. On the design front, it might not be as feature rich as 'Graphic', but what it does do, it does exceptionally well. There is no reason why you can't do everything that other vector apps do, as this has all the necessary tools for the job. The UI layout is great, whilst the inclusion of cloud support should you need it is welcome. All in all a very well considered app. Finally, all kudos to the dev who took over from where the previous dev left it. He has done it proud and for my part, I will continue to support it. Great app and well worth the asking price.
I started using Inkpad as I wanted to draw the sort of eye-popping images people create with applications like Illustrator, but I didn’t want to invest £££s in equipment and software. I’ve found it incredibly easy to use, and surprisingly powerful. I can add layers and layers of detail, and it never slows down or crashes. The interface is very simple, and there’s depths of functionality like ‘duplicate and transform’ which is very clever at copying existing elements using the last path you moved the objects. It’s great fun to use, and I’d advise anyone considering buying to see the art people have been able to create using this tool; there is nothing it can’t do!
Nice app but there’s room for improvements, one of the first ones for me would be to add kerning and leading to the type tool. Good start, looking forward to more enhancements.
This is a very clean app, easy to learn and works well with the Pencil, but... like all such apps, there is no facility to perform 'accurate' drawing! PLEASE, think of including this in future revisions. Not everyone wants to just 'sketch'. The reason for the title is this - you start by specifying a size of paper, you allow users to snap to grid points on the page, you can pick and reposition & resize points/lines/shapes so you absolutely know where the points sit on the page, so why not give the user an option to control these points at the database level, or type in the points on creation? This the the same in all 'freehand' graphic apps (unless someone knows otherwise?), why not make yourself stand out some more? Thanks for the good work, but I'll keep looking for my ideal app.
