Unfortunately this app is not working if you’re already connected to a VPN, it will disable your current VPN and use the Freedom.to VPN for filtering content. Seems to be an iOS issue tho, it works fine on other devices.

…and can’t use any distractions, this app does the job.

Great app, but from the start the app block search function keeps freezing and it’s still not fixed.

Works great, would be even better if the amount of apps/categories that can be selected, would be bigger. Possibly an IOS limitation. Other improvement would be te ability to customise an existing blocklist as a starting point for the next.

Ik heb de premium versie van de app gekocht. Meestal werkt de app prima, en gaan de apps die ik heb ingesteld op slot wanneer ik dat heb ingesteld. Echter gaat het slot er soms opeens vanaf, terwijl de sessie volgens de app nog loopt. Ook is het irritant dat de app niet werkt in energiebesparingsmodus. Dat is op zich makkelijk op te lossen door deze uit te zetten, maar toch vervelend. Maar vooral dat de app dus ook zonder energiebesparingsmodus niet altijd goed werkt!

So happy with this app, I struggle with keeping off social media and this is a great way to block the automatic opening of apps. Used it a lot during studying and now while working, I recommend getting premium.

Youtube algorithms and many distractions online are designed to keep you on there platform for as long as possible. It was really difficult for and i wasted a lot of time before i started using this app.

Over het algemeen genomen een goede app om bovenstaande tegen te gaan. Ik heb de betaalde versie (eenmalig €100) omdat ik te vaak afgeleid werd door alle social media en ‘s avonds te lang doorga terwijl ik moet slapen 😴. Ik geef hem eigenlijk 4 sterren, maar tegelijkertijd ben ik op onderstaande na wel tevreden en 4 sterren doet dan geen recht aan het goede streven van de app. Dus als jullie de onderstaande puntjes doorvoeren krijgen jullie 5 sterren. Enige nadeel in de blokkeerfunctie is als je de app afsluit je alle sites gewoon weer op kunt op Windows 10. Oftewel, makkelijk te omzeilen en dus niet effectief genoeg. En op iPhone of MacBook lijkt het internet vertraagd te laden door de app. (VPN zou je verbinding niet hoeven te vertragen…) Verder nog een tip: Ik zou willen dat je de tekst op het blokkeer scherm kan customizen. In plaats van “You are Free, Do Great Things”. Beetje vervelend als je dat elke keer ziet. Soort van ik kies ervoor omdat het nodig is, niet omdat ik het leuk vind. Maak het dan op z’n minst wat leuker, memes bijvoorbeeld of custom tekst / wallpaper.

Given all the great reviews, I thought I give this app a try to help me fight procrastination. Not being able to end the session, or delete the app helps at those moments your urges are stronger then your initial intentions. Unfortunately there is a very easy work around this by turning off the freedom VPN. Within a minute you are back on the internet.
