Can’t view runs without Internet

Pretty ridiculous that I can’t view my own run from earlier today unless I’m connected to the Internet

Regression and gamification

Update: still junk. Version 4.x was mature, fast, and worked well. Some of the functions were a bit hidden (personal trainer), but once you knew where to look, it was easy to navigate there. Version 5.x is a release candidate at best (all registered devices except the watch had to be connected again), it takes 5 seconds or more to see past the loading screen (runner icon), and basic information (weight) is now simply missing. The design decision to add item cards in sets is poorly implemented (no side scrolling) and makes customization actually necessary. Someone (management) decided that the app should be more like social media and that challenges are important enough to be placed before yesterday’s stats. However, the training plans are now more accessible but could’ve simply been added to the list of elements in the previous version. [Slow clap] TL:DR A lot lost, nothing gained. - P.S.: It looks like Garmin is asking their staff to leave 5-star reviews with similar wording and ChatGPT text blocks.

The UI change broke the app

astro.dave on

United States

The app now sometimes needs to be restarted multiple times, sometimes with a manual sync to show my sleep and weight recorded by my Index S2. My other annoyance with the app is that it won’t show an activity that is in progress, or sleep that is in progress. My Epix gen 2 watch will show activity in progress, but also won’t show sleep progress. Update: there doesn’t seem to be a way to sync VO2 max with the Apple Health app.

Goals removed!!!

Darth Los on

United States

Ever since Garmin revamped the app and the Home Screen on the web they removed Goals from showing up on the screen. This is unacceptable as most of us who use this app probably have goals that we track either weekly, monthly, or yearly. Please add Goals back to the Home Screen!

Nouvelle version pas ok!

Old_user_2005 on

Depuis le remodeling de la nouvelle version, on a régressé dans la facilité de lecture des données. Le tableau de bord était plus clair, compact et compréhensible. Remettez-nous une version plus compact et visuelle SVP.

Notification settings

Nanzo77 on

United States

It’s mostly great, but I can only find notification settings for notifications the app sends my phone. I can’t find settings to change which apps can make my device buzz.

Buggy and clunky

FrumiousB on

United States

Ever since the update the app does not show any of my steps - every day it says ‘no steps today - get moving!’ Apparently I have not moved in months so must be the most sedentary person to ever own a fitness tracker. The Home Screen is no longer an at a glance tool - I have removed all the info except the one thing that is tracking accurately and that is when I record cycling. And lately I don’t even bother going to the app unless I have to manually sync - I’m doing everything from the watch. Like many of the other reviewers I am strongly considering moving to Apple Watch. This is my third Garmin watch and prior to this app disaster I was eyeing some pricier models. But looks like good old Apple will get my money. I am torn between waiting for my current watch to break or just pulling the trigger on the Apple device. Leaning toward just jumping ship now before it totally sinks. It would make a difference if there was even one developer response on here but I guess Garmin just does not care what their customers think. We will just get the app they give us and we can put up or shut up, apparently. Way to kill your fan club, Garmin.

Horrible New UI
