Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities.
GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.
GRIS is an experience with almost no text, only simple control reminders illustrated through universal icons. The game can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their spoken language.

Beautiful, just beautiful
Beautiful game and level design. Relaxing and engaging. The soundtrack, the art, the story. Everything is beautiful. Better played with controller. Really really worth the money. Worth another replay. Thank you for bringing this to the iPad.
A masterpiece
Whilst this is a platform game, the amount of imagination into the mechanics, the beautiful artwork and the haunting music make this really enjoyable.
A work of art
Stunning graphics with such attention to detail, loved the use of colour and meditative music. Such a beautiful representation of processing loss/grief, moving through the game felt cathartic. The puzzles were also excellent, the right level of challenging. Can’t rate this highly enough, I would give it more stars if I could!
Pretty but awful to control
Possibly the worst game controls in the history of games. Frustrating and unhelpful to the point of giving up. Gah!
A glorious masterpiece
I’m going through a ton of puzzle games like The Room and Da Vinci and took the bait with this one.
It has a great fluid graphical style you can almost forget you’re basically playing a platform game.
The controls are basic, simple and introduced gradually as the game progresses. Luckily once you literally get over the hump of starting it’s fairly easy to get on with it, though using the iPad you could make a few mistakes, I can’t imagine how much more difficult it would be on an iPhone!
Sonically it’s beautiful but it’s as good without headphones.
The difficulty ramps up in the latter stages though which breaks the tranquil spell somewhat, but some of that is my own frustration. Nothing that a quick walkthrough YouTube can’t solve. And I managed to get to the end in the end…
Overall it was worth the risk of paying for it as a small thank you to all the hard work the developers and designers poured into the game.
Bravo!
A bit frustrating!
This game is visually beautiful with a lovely soundtrack but it’s very frustrating to play on iPad as the controls don’t always work properly. I’m now stuck trying to climb the big tree because the double jump doesn’t respond very well. I can’t progress any further from here so I cannot find out what the rest of the game holds. Shame.
Immaculate
Superb…a masterpiece, I could go on and on. This game is hauntingly beautiful, it is so evocative, you genuinely leave your world behind and enter this one which is a sign of the perfect gaming experience. I am simply blown away at the work this must have taken to create and the imagination involved. Worth every penny and then some. Turn the sound up and escape into this beautiful world.
I love it
Gris is probably the game that got me feeling the most chills and emotion out of any game I’ve played. At one point I got massive chills and started crying in the same second.
The art style is fantastic, I felt like I had to screenshot every other second I played this.
I regret leaving it so late to play, but I don’t regret playing it at all.
Bug in the game
I’m stuck at a certain level and can’t move forward because the bug
Wasted my money on this game
Best game about trauma
I am a trauma therapist and that game evokes the feelings of going through the process of trauma integration. I really enjoyed how beautiful it is and how it creates a very relaxing space to rest from verbal thinking. Thank you 💙
