habitica is okay but the ios app is horrible. cron rarely happens on first try, the app is very slow, it freezes every time i try to check more than one task as done.. the app is kind of useless since it’s too unreliable to use as a habit tracker or to do list which is habitica’s only use without the social aspects (killing the guilds was a mistake!).
And then, decided to take the fact they have no more mods out on the users by removing all social components and important communities. Lying about the reason why they did this. They fired a volunteer that spoke out about the abusive atmosphere in the company and everyone quit as a protest. The users made a chatroom to protest the removal of all social aspects. People who spoke about this firing of volunteers got muted and banned. There was several of us. The users were not given a warning and all their hard work will be deleted in under a week. An amazing community, the app was largely built by its communitys free volunteer work and then destroyed by horrible greedy abusive management. What a shame.
This service has staff that don’t care about its users. The mistreatment of ex-moderators and contributors and censorship of their issues are leading into a decline in the quality of the app too - they can’t keep up with actually having to do all the work themselves since taking moderator duties in-house. I want the ability to search equipment pieces. I have lots of them and it’s really annoying that I need to scroll up and down, up and down. That will make Habitica much easier for me. Thank you, Lintuli
Such a wonderful app and game. Have been using this for a few weeks now and it’s made a major difference. I feel more productive and inclined to better my bad habits and to partake in good ones. I love games, and the game aspect of this really taps into my eagerness to play and improve my character, and thereby be mor productive and better about my habits. I’ve tried all kinds of habit-changer apps and always gave up after a day or two. Habitica is fun, pretty, and has a great community that’s very helpful. 100% worth the download and a go if, like me, you’ve been trying to improve your habits for ages but not really gotten much progress! So happy that I discovered Habitica—best thing that’s happened to me in 2019!

I loveeeee this app. It has really been helpful for my adhd. It has lovely real time consequences for choices on habits and a reward system. I love that my wife was able to get the app and we were able to form a party so we can earn experience for maintaining the house in a fun way! But I NEED this to have iwatch widgets so I can easily update my habit tracker or my dailies. And more widgets for the phone so I can track my habits!
This all seemed to be exactly what I needed to get myself motivated to care for my home and self. However, any task or habit I create, regardless of filters or ensuring I press “create”, disappears and cannot be found via search or any dashboard. Really disappointing.
There is a learning curve but cool app
