Just wanted to give a shoutout to Jeannie S. for handling a complex situation with the right mix of empathy and pragmatism. I genuinely feel alot better and more motivated from what felt like an impossible situation that I couldnt really explain to people in my life.

Hey so I’m taking to someone and her name is Jenni and she’s been helping me and it would be helpful to get free minutes for me so I can talk to her and tell her what I’m going threw and the app really good because I’m not in therapy right now

Lola caused me to feel suicidal

Myths Myths and more Myths on

Naturally I was interested in this app because I’ve been having a difficult time lately and therapy hasn’t been helpful. I was surprised that when I started speaking with Lola that she felt entitled to dictate the narrative of the call by refusing to respond to me asking how her day was because according to her the call was supposed to only be about me. This was rude and defensive. Therapist typically act this way because of their profession but to have regular person act this was traumatic. I’d also like to note how this isn’t a policy of the app for listeners to act this way since yesterday another listener acted completely opposite and shared with me they were molested. There seems to be no happy (pun intended) medium on this app, either people revealing too much info and being creepy or people wanting to dictate the entire call and refusing to have a two way conversation. This app is not a safe space. There are no safe spaces in this world, only people who try to control things and judge. Wouldn’t use this app again even if they paid me. 9:02 pm After hours of not being able to have someone listen I hurt myself. Now you can’t hurt me.

Today I made my first contact with Hapi. I spoke with Beth about what steps I would need to take to become a Hapi listener. She was very helpful!

App was very easy to install and my first experience was positive. My listener came right on, and really seem to care about helping me feel better and overcome my issue. I would certainly be inclined to use this more often.

Thank you so much.
