Is it just me or can I only use the music on the app if I fricking pay???! I thought it was going to be free to use for anyone but apparently not. I don’t recommend.

Just the best!

Such a great app. This has helped me build a meditation practice. So many options and great to use. Thank you!

Great app! Would love a playlist just to queue things side by side at night, because I wake up frequently.

Mixed feelings

The sleep music/meditations and general meditations are quite good. As in the meditations that teach you how to breathe, focus, and find a little peace during the day. I would really recommend to someone who wants to find some evenness in their life and wants their personal time to really feel like theirs. This is what I got out of it, but then, once I got past this (tbf it dint take that long for me) most of their more personalised or specific stuff just makes me feel like these people are the most unrelatable and unqualified goody-two-shoes in the world. I wish they had stayed away from marketing this as a bunch of therapists. There’s a complete lack of honesty and no acknowledgement of the listeners potential to be mean or wrong, and that b-line to self acceptance feels very dodgy. It’s like, I’m here to learn how to do this process but they skip the initial part of this (acknowledgement) for what seems to be no reason. To me it feels unhealthy and awkward. Tried finding resources for loneliness and there was a very short list, and none of the items wanted to talk about the reality of being alone, only how to work through the feeling of being lonely. It just made me feel like these people had never once been in a situation in their life where there was really no one to turn to or rely on. Which is crazy because I feel like most of the people who are looking for an app with these services are doing so because they feel like there’s no one and nowhere else to go to find some kind of solace. I thought it would be more inclusive to daily life issues since it’s an online thing with a large database. Speaking as a lesbian I was disappointed to see whole courses and sections dedicated to LGBT+ problems (again with no mention of loneliness….??!?!?) and no sections or even extensive discussions on problems like loneliness, which I feel is the core “why” behind almost every section they have (Being at work, reframing the holidays, going back to school, connecting with your family, eating mindfully, racism, trying to stay focused/ positive/ motivated….). The short and sweet way of putting it is I would recommend this to someone who needs to ground themselves, but not to someone who wants to have something to turn to for when you’re feeling really down and alone. Like if you’re wanting understanding or to be seen. Just made me feel more alone. Watched this video of the co-founder out on a boat with a drone flying over this desert-like place with this lake and he

They take your money and don’t care about you

I am in website development, I am not a newbie to tech. For the life of me I could not cancel my subscription. Then as soon as the auto payment went through, I asked for a refund. They absolutely refuse to refund my money, so I have paid for a year long subscription and don’t plan on using the app. Pretty poor form for an app that is supposed to help reduce stress, in my case they have increased it.

Trust the process

Too much junk not enough meditation

Tuner fiend on

I used this app a lot a year or two ago then went away from guided meditation for some time, now I’ve come back to headspace and very very little practice content has been added but there is now huge amount of worthless videos, podcasts, and all sorts of junk that spams any relevant search while taking away from the functional practice of headspace. The developers have leant more into making a space that feels like some social media interface purely to get users to spend more time in app with eyes on the screen than providing real value to cushion time and practice, decent meditations but overall now disappointed.

More than mediation

Love this app - have learnt so much about more than just meditation. Rather than just dropping you in you are taught and have some of your questions answered. Highly recommend.
