I had my account deleted for breaching community guidelines yet I had not breached anything. Submitted a response asking for more information on how and received an auto reply less then 10 seconds later saying after a further and extensive review of my submission my account would stay deleted. Must of been a huge review to be able to view my submission, my account and reply in less then 10 seconds. Don’t bother with Hinge.

Dating apps are useless these days. No one answers. Why bother?

Please be aware. I paid for the subscription and the next day it banned my account. I am a woman, haven’t talked to anyone and my photos are all normal. I received an email to ask for government issue ID. I cannot give because this is an internet, I can’t just give out my personal information to anyone. You are not a bank or a government. This request is a surprise and totally out of common sense. They should refund my money.

People will be people with their own intentions so just watch out for yourself, but overall no bad encounters and seems to be successful in marketing toward real dating and not hookups. My only suggestion is a “not sure” when you’re liking or rejecting people lol

Example of a terrible dating app nowadays aimed at leeching off desperate, gullible people to get $. After creating an account, first find out that most photos you already put in are randomly not registered, not breaching any rules, and you have to upload the photos again which is a joke. Then you only have 4, 5 swipes a day if you free…. LOL besides that women on these platforms usually do not reply to you since they are attention, ego inflated, you’ve only got 5 swipes a day as free. Good luck finding ANYONE hahaha. The most disgusting thing however, they then randomly ban your account and ask you to appeal and give 0 explanation. You put forward the appeal and they ask for your government ID. Hahaha i knew dating apps were scams but this is borderline illegal, trying to fish ID from everyone to for likely spyware, dodgy purposes. No thanks, you aren’t getting any ID and you should be ashamed of yourself.

The free version offers a plethora of weirdos and creeps. As a female, having to pay a premium subscription to weed out the weird is just a bit of a kick to the guts, especially when there are typically more men than women on dating apps. That being said it is nice to be able to have a normal conversation with a person and not have to deal with unsolicited fetish responses 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Contacted support, they said the ban was permanent and would not give any details as to the cause. What an odd experience 🤔

After several attempts to verify my phone number, I was just about to delete the app when the notification finally arrived. Then hinge claimed to send me an email so I could verify it too. After checking the spelling and all possible inboxes, including junk, no email has been received. Congratulations Hinge, your app was so successful, I deleted it before I could even sign up for it.

This app continues to ask for money just to be seen on these apps yet never message back when your having problems with the disgusting people on there.
