HP Sure Admin -ominaisuudella varustetut HP:n kaupalliset tietokoneet voivat hallita pääsyä laiteohjelmistoon julkisen ja yksityisen avaimen yhdistelmään perustuvalla tietoturvalla. Tämä toiminto tarjoaa lisäturvaa tavallisiin salasanasuojaukseen perustuviin ratkaisuihin verrattuna. Tämä toiminto soveltuu hyvin tilanteisiin, jossa järjestelmänvalvoja hallitsee laiteohjelmistoa etänä, mutta joskus paikalliset IT-työntekijät (tai käyttäjät) voivat joutua todentamaan henkilöllisyytensä laiteohjelmistolle (esim. BIOS F10 Setup -toiminnon käytön yhteydessä). Tällöin laiteohjelmisto näyttää QR-koodin, jonka paikallinen IT-työntekijä skannaa HP Sure Admin Mobile -sovelluksella.
