Way to leave us out in the cold

LordGnarts on

Can’t afford to pay for Pro.

Buggy

Jedmeister1235 on

MyQ integration sometimes works, sometimes not. For example, today my garage door did not close after 5 minutes like it is supposed to. Another time MyQ stopped working completely for a month.

Not really worth it

~Vintagecheez~ on

Got a free account to test it out. Used to be able to have 5 enabled applets, now it’s down to 2 and the applets don’t have enough functionality to really get a feel for it. Could try the very short period trial of pro but still what it links to and what i can do with it hasn’t been great either. Wouldn’t even consider pro+. In the meantime the paid accounts are getting more expensive but with the current limitations in terms of linked services and triggers it’s really not worth it and i don’t think the paid accounts will give me the functionality i need.

Not very reliable app on paid subscription.

App returns error 500 when trying to remove an automation. Events are not reliable.

Can’t sign in

Why can’t I sign in using google or Facebook or even Apple. Each time it says something went wrong, on a day when it’s the app of the day. Apple should check this before

WTH

CJ_NZ on

Maybe I’m an idiot, but this app is ridiculously hard to use, to the point I can’t find where any of the functionality is. It seems to have taken a minimalist design aesthetic to the extreme by removing all buttons, help text, instructions, etc. It’s like a house where a minimalist architect decided doors and windows were so 2010 an so made the design an impenetrable cube. I have routines set up to run from the website, but when I disconnected the services and got errors I tried to use the app and it said I have nothing configured. Nada. Zip. Everything is blank. Except for the activity log, THAT it knows has things going on. There are just two buttons: Explore and Create. Create is a blank void, where tapping, swiping, holding, pinching do nothing. Explore brings up a bunch of routines, which isn’t helpful as I haven’t told it what hardware I have. Anyway, rant over. IFTTT is a fabulous concept and works great when you get things set up. But this app is a big fail. (Tested on new iPad Air 2020.)

Sucky move

kohekohebigsky on

Don’t use IFTTT. Go HA it will truly be unlimited free forever

Belkin WEMO fail

GSVNoFixedAbode on

The only reason I wanted to use ifttt was to control my WEMO devices. IFTTT will not list or locate any devices after connecting accounts. So rather useless really.
