Manipulation!
When $GME halted and opened they set it to only on phone orders when the price is too volatile to talk and tell them to close my trade. I had a big position on and when I was about to take profit they set it to only on call dealing. And in a minute the slippage took $1.3k from me. This is pure manipulation. Other brokers were available to deal online after the halts, non of them had only on call dealing. I called customer support only to tell me that it was slippage that took my money when it was them setting it to only on call dealing. I have yet to receive a response to my complaint. THEY HAVE FULL CONTROL WHEN YOU TRADE CFDs. Stay away from these market makers. They are not even CHESS sponsored.
Update: I got the same response again. I said I was in the money then you guys switched to phone dealing only on your platform and I couldn’t take profit. When it was back to online dealing I was at a $1.3k loss. They didn’t even read this properly. LOUSY CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I also have proof of what happened and still you guys shake it off as slippage. I know what slippage is!

Wouldn’t recommend IG I am providing proof had the reaping people off with the charges. Please look at the screenshot. for small little position holding overnight, they charge me over $300 be careful who you signing up with.

I’ve almost smashed my phone 10 times!! This app is so clunky and i’ve missed so many trades, It would be easier to use a potato. Should be taken off the App Store
Does not include all shares on ASX
This company isn’t very responsive to including new shares on its platform. Already been a week and still non existent. As such plenty of missed opportunities to make a buck. Best stick with traditional trading platforms that actually include all shares from the ASX. $5 trade incentive is useless when nothing to trade.
Also can not buy shares that include decimal amounts. It rounds them up or down. So if you’re looking for accurate trading best switch to commsec. IG also will always show your account showing less money than its actually worth. As they only show your portfolio as the bid price. Not the actual traded price. It’s a tactic to get users to deposit more money. It’s a scam of an app and you will lose all your money
Watch list problem
Can’t add stocks to watch list or rather stocks don’t get added to my watch list when using my iPad.
I used to love this app it was crazy on its forex prices and it was very comfortable with small accounts. I traded daily to improve my knowledge with IG and trading, but a recent update made the minimum amount to open positions higher in almost all the forex, commodity and crypto deals. This made it really difficult to trade on a small account and I haven’t opened a position in a long time because I can’t afford it now. It’s a great app for forex, crypto and commodities but only if you are a professional ready to deposit a decent amount of money into the app.
