This app rarely downloads Japanesepod lessons successfully. Its super buggy

Keep stuck at the spinner

When I go to the lesson in my pathway, I keep getting the spinning indicator and got stuck. I have to reinstall every time I use the app. I am learning two languages for what it’s worth.

Not a free app

It gives a 7 day trial and they pay pay pay but before getting there everywhere else (website) it says free free free. Disappointing.

auto starts a trial of premium in an attempt to force a subscription purchase.

it auto starts a premium trial to attempt to force a subscription and that prevents me from seeing if someone can utilize this app at all on low income, instant premium trial immediately turning me away as that tells me that nothing is available without premium. so yet another uninstall

Plan differences

Want to do the writing assignment but its not covered in basic plan🥲. And the premium plus is a lot expensive compare to basic. It could have been little cheaper

Easy way to learn a new language

I love these lessons. They are short so you don’t get bored. I also like all the notes that come with it.

missed opportunity

great format, great content. the native speakers are fantastic. but why would you get a foreigner to teach thai? he murders the tones and frankly his voice is so annoying it's difficult to persevere. thai pod should re-record the conversations with native speakers only.

Great, but pricey

This app is really great for learning just about any languages. I like the more “formal/professional” format that this app offers which differs from the other app I’ve used which are more based on mini games and such. Even though this app is more centered on serious lessons, it’s not boring and you don’t get sick of it because it’s not repetitive. You constantly learn new things and it’s not just for beginner as there are courses for advanced speakers too! Personally, I only use this app for more complex languages like Chinese and I don’t see the point of using this app for say, Spanish since to me it’s so easy. However, this app is quite expensive because you need to pay a membership to get full access to all courses. If you want to learn more than one language at a time, you’ll have to pay for ALL languages as there’s no way to get access to all languages with one membership… I really only recommend the basic subscription only when it’s on sale, I actually think the subscription is worth it for what you learn and that’s coming from someone who never pay for app’s memberships. Very reliable app in general. A must have for a polyglot and I’ll be using it in the future for Japanese, Korean, Thai and more too!

Good app, but one annoying glitch

Overall a good app, but the audio tracks don’t often work for me.

very responsive support

i recently gave this app a one star review for an update that caused the app to crash when loading. the developer responded within a matter of days and fixed the issue. i am very impressed :) the app itself is great
