Japanese lessons are great

I’m learning Japanese in the app. All the sections are clearly labeled and you always know where you are. Offline mode is great to use while commuting.

Well constructed course

A very useful app which is helping me progress my Italian. Each lesson is well constructed and interesting. My Italian has improved faster than trying to learn with a course book. Recommended and good value given the large amount of content included.

App crashes

I downloaded this app, logged in, pressed for beginner lessons and the app crashed. I now can’t click anything within the app and have to close the app.

Its good

Mostly good. Im learning loads. Some suggestions: -make a playlist function. I would love to add all the review tracks to a playlist to review them. -tracker, Id love to see how often I engage with the app, some elements of gamification where there could be streaks or progress tracking.

The way it doesnt help

It does not help us if were struggling because if a child wantd to learn english but they dobt know the meaning of the word there gonna get it all wrong . So i give it a one / five !

Can’t use app

The app doesn’t work. When I try and look at a lesson there’s always a loading screen. I want to learn on the go and this app doesn’t help me! I’ve been waiting for fix for the last few months.

Your app is bad! Delete it! It only let me go up to:pack 1 part 3!

Reliability issues

The app itself is really well presented and great for learning. But when I’m switching between lessons often I’ll have a loading circle that never finishes. I end up closing the app and restarting. Very annoying. Anyone else experience this? I’m on iPhone 14.

Great content but some features missing.

Using Japanesepod101 -You get a lot of content for the prime subscription as others have mentioned. Videos, audio, lesson notes and there’s bound to be something for everyone at whatever level you are at(I’m at lower intermediate). However, it’s missing some much needed features to make this the only app you would ever need. 1. wish that I could tap on any word and add it to my word bank, or manually edit it, but I can only add certain words from each lesson. 2. I would really like that when the word was added to the word bank it had a link to say what lessons it is used in, or the one that added it from so that I see the word in context. 3. Often I am reading the transcript and I come to a word I don’t know. It would be great if it it had a pop up feature like yomiwa (free) where all words have the Kama reading of the kanji, a colour underline of words that have been read before, words that are new, and grammatical features. I can then tap on a word or grammatical feature and a quick useful definition pops up or what other lessons feature that grammatical structure. 4. It would be really useful if could search for a word or grammatical item and then a list of lessons which contain that word or grammar comes up for me to check. Also their website tech help page is out of date by a few years. For example, the RSS feed says that I can simply use iTunes. iTunes has been discontinued and separated into Apple Music and podcasts. Apple Music cannot download the feed such as the pdf.

THE BEST!! Amazing app and desktop learning for Spanish

Amazing for serious learners, I’ve tried a few other courses and Spanishpod101 blows the socks off them. The lessons are easy to follow and the additional learning material that you get really helps all the lessons sink in… you have mini quizzes, actual tests to track progress and wordbanks, flash cards and more to enhance your learning experience. Cannot fault them, I am 13 weeks in and am confident I will have conversational fluency in another 6 months 😁
