It is hard to digest how limited the UI/functionality and improvements are from Inoreader considering they change an arm and a leg for a rudimentary application. Syntax highlighting for code blocks? A tagging and folder system that is actually well structured? Gif support? Why can’t I simply search my own feeds and articles with a clear interface? Search is a fundamental functionality and it’s executed so poorly. Where are updates, new features? You are charging an obscene subscription amount for a product that is stagnated.
Really good reader, could use some tweaks though. When you are viewing All Articles and you click one an article, the app opens a split screen where a preview of the article loads in the right pane and a list of other articles in the left pane. That’s useful, however there should be an easier way (a button) to go back to the All Articles view, and another button to hide the article list on the left. Another thing, I’m using the Cards view to display All Articles, but only because the Magazine view has tiny thumbnails. If the images were a bit larger, then the Magazine view would be a lot better. It would be nice if there were a slider to adjust the text size and another to adjust the article thumbnail size in all views: Magazine, Card, List. Another issue, There’s no way to sort the feeds list alphabetically or group feeds by subject… Hopefully these issues would be addressed in future updates. Thanks!
Some anoying issues: mainly No off line storage. “Do not show pictures” feature doesn’t work. This review still true after many months.
Cette application de lecture de flux RSS est fantastique et mérite les quelques dollards par mois pour la version pro
I’ve been trying out several RSS reader apps recently, and, based on my experience with 4 or 5 such apps, have now decided upon Inoreader. This app beats the others on almost every benchmark: organization, layout, features, and ease of use among them. The free version allows for 150 feeds, adequate for me now, but good to know there are upgrade (subscription-based) options should the need arise. It has an almost uncanny ability to find websites with RSS feeds, whereas others struggle. What I like: - ability to create and organize folders - ability to add tags - choice of layouts (list, magazine, cards) - ease in discovering new feeds - generous suite of features in the free version - modern look and feel - customization. No downsides to report after more than two weeks of use.
but it popped but a prompt to review it while I was reading something, and there was no "Never bother me again" button and just something like "Maybe later".
After several attempts to download articles, some loaded slowly and most could not download. My other platforms are lightning fast. I gave it a fair trial but, in the end, life is too short.
It doesn’t handle embedded YouTube videos properly, eg. the watch later link. Also, they seem to play games with their plan prices - they should simplify.
Everything you need to know all at the same place! Time saver!!! I love the app! A must have if you are in the crypto world!!
