good but..

could do with a function to check for duplicate IP's

Slowest scanning of ports ever

Well; I can tell you that it's a great app unless you want to not have the most intensive port scan of an IP performed. Like the MOST intensive ever. You may as well just download nmap and run it from terminal if you want to know what ports are open. This app's ability to port scan reminds me of the Qualys/Nessus applications from around a decade ago. Truly. Not bad for monitoring your network and various subnets. But wow. Sometimes just dropping to a terminal with an app (yes; this is actaully nmap) will do a WAAAAY better job. Not worth the money IMHO. Fling/fring (yes i also wasted £££ on it and it's that memorable like this one is) would be better for you - there is a read.me on the GIT repository. If you don't know what that all is; you will have digested all of it's content and how it works (both of them probably) before this scan completes of my /24 subnet. God only knows how long a /8 subnet would take. Wow.

Very SMALL font

Too damn small display to be useful. Bring back the previous version. UPDATE : Problem solved. Comment retracted.

Speed

Amazingly fast. Just what I needed!

Does what it says - and very well

I have the Pro version. Normally, I don't run it often (just when things appear to be acting up). I currently have it on full time to keep an eye on my Raspeberry Pi which was dropping it's network connection periodically. Great little app - have had it for years!

useless

crashes upon start.

Really useful as your network gets more complicated!

I find this app really useful just to troubleshoot my network, work out which devices are causing problems and generally keep an eye to make sure there's nothing joned that shouldn't be. Try the free version and I think you'll upgrade.

Pretty poor

The scan itself works but no details of the selected device are shown when they are selected. You only see blank boxes. Waste of money.

Export data is not complete and poorly formatted

Bought this app to help migrate to a new DNS/DHCP server. IP Scanner Pro scans the network successfully, and shows the DNS entries for each device. However, when exported (to text/csv) the DNS field is replaced with ‘UNKNOWN’.
