Great app, excellent idea, bugs and missing features
I decide to switch to Joplin and truly get to use this app. I’ll keep adding bugs I find here as I go.
So far:
- interface needs some adjustment for iphone: the panel with notebooks could be wider; the sync panel needs to be smaller to let more motebooks be visible
- highlighting doesn’t work for multiple paragraphs at once
- does not support formatted copied text (renders it all plain in the note)
Definitely not on par with the desktop app
Generated notes don’t look the same as they do on desktop. If you use plugins or custom css, you won’t see those features here, this means not being able to do things like resize for larger text if you’re using it for speaking notes or things like that.
Awesome app
I would like to thank the developers for this multifunctional open source app. Much Gratitude to Laurent and all team members ! My go to note taking app!
Needs Apple Pencil support
I get it’s open-source, but Apple Pencil support would be very much appreciated.
Current version broken
The current version is broken
Unable to attach photos
When I click on the Attach Photo button, nothing happened…
Indispensable
I’m a writer. Overnight, Joplin, on both desktop and iOS, has supplanted all other writing applications, such is its ease of use and incredible utility. As a free and open source app, I’ll refrain from making demands, but if I had a wish list item, it would be to make the editor more flexible on iPad, if not on mobile outright. Fully-loaded with plugins, the desktop version of Joplin is head and shoulders above mobile—adding the two-column view, font and column-width size controls, and a way to differentiate various syntax in the editor would go a long way toward making mobile Joplin as chefskiss.gif as its desktop incarnation.
Keep up the fantastic work, and thank you!
Great free app
Works very well on both my iPad Pro and my iPhone… and my other computers
Perfect as Evernote/OneNote (and similar others) replacement
Have been using Joplin for more than a year now, synchronizing across many devices and environment, on MacOS, iOS and Windows. Have used in the past Evernote and OneNote, have tried many others like Bear, SimpleNotes, Notion. This satisfies all my note taking needs (except writing with apple pencil, but that’s not an issue in my case).
This app is open source and free. As of recent they started offering a paid cloud service for synchronizing in addition, and without crippling, all the other sync methods (Dropbox, OneDrive, many others). Will however switch to their cloud service just to contribute to the project.
It’s a fantastic app, can’t praise it enough.
Good app but small font
Nice, open source but please add font size option it’s too small right now
