Joplin

As someone who values simplicity, privacy, and functionality, I’ve found a gem in Joplin. This open-sourced note-taking and to-do app embodies what I’ve been searching for in a digital organizer. One of the standout features of Joplin is its refusal to conform to the subscription model that plagues many apps today. It’s a breath of fresh air to know that all its powerful features are available without premium subscriptions. The developers have made this app truly accessible to everyone. Privacy-conscious users will be pleased to know that Joplin takes data privacy seriously. It doesn’t collect your personal information or data, which is a rarity today. Even better, if you require an extra layer of security, Joplin offers encryption options to protect your notes. A big shoutout to the developers for creating such a fantastic tool and for keeping it open source. I’m eagerly looking forward to the upcoming features, knowing that they will be designed with the user’s best interests at heart.

Does not integrate well with DropBox. You don’t really "sync," it’s more like a cloud backup. It is an excellent local note-taking and to-do list app, but the lack of easy and reliable synch is a problem.

I have an exported todo list I would like to import manually. However, the has no such feature.

I like the desktop version of the app but I don't think syncing works across devices. I'm paying for cloud , but it doesn't work.

The app works, but has a cumbersome UI and is full of minor but annoying bugs which demonstrate a lack of ability or willingness on the part of the developers to properly test their app. Examples include inserting multiple new lines when you hit enter once, deleting the wrong character, messing up indentation and capitalization, graphical glitches, inserting images into the wrong place, etc. These are easy things to fix if the developers actually cared

I like the simplicity of the app. I think it’s still in its infancy with more robust features to come. There doesn’t seem to be an undo function. The option to add images would be a great addition.
