Kanji Teacher is free. There's no advertising and no in-app purchases are necessary – it's just free, pure and simple.
Kanji Teacher knows not only all the 2,136 jōyō kanjis and their readings, but also the 8,000 most common Japanese words and how to pronounce them. This unique combination enables you to learn the Kun- and On-readings of the kanjis and apply and test what you have learnt straight away: both how to read a word and how to write a word you know.
Kanji Teacher has more features you'll love:

Excellent!
I have no complaints! I would highly suggest this to anyone who wants to build their Japanese vocabulary. Well organized, intuitive UI, quick even on old phones (I'm on 5c and it's great), example sentences, tracked progress and so much more :D

Perfect app for kanji!
as the title says, this is the perfect kanji app, i just wish there was a way to practice writing radicals so that it becomes easier to learn kanji
Part of my daily routine
This app has become the core of my daily Japanese learning process. I run it both on iPad and iPhone - the phone app lets me run through quick quizzes ANYWHERE and anytime. 100% recommend this!
Pretty good
This app is pretty good. However, it goes really fast. I just started and it keeps on introducing more and more characters. I can’t keep up. Plus some of the characters are different when they show up at the bottom of the quiz to when you draw them.

Excellent app for learning kanji!
This app is straightforward in its design, easy to use, and is very professional, plus, no ads! I love how easy it is to see the kanji and vocab for each JLPT level; the best app that does this to be honest. Also the way it keeps track of your progress and has recommended learning is very helpful. The only thing I wish it had was more fun and interesting games, but other than that I love this app!
