Given one star as I don’t have option to rate zero. Beautiful exhibits in the Athens museum and totally spoilt by this audio book which doesn’t have any correlation to what has been exhibited. I really wonder what the officials do without testing/piloting any of these. Everyone in the exhibition floor is confused and no one complains. Hope the passionate greek historians do something about it😜😜😜
What seemed like a good idea for touring Athens turned out to be a waste of money as all the sites we visited were free admission for the weekend on which we visited… ie 22-24/9/23; so check this possibility out before you purchase.
The purchase of the tickets online suggest an audio tour with tickets to the Acropolis & Parthenon. Once downloaded, it reveals you have a free tour guide for Plaka but not the Acropolis - strange how this is available to purchase as extra for an additional 11.99!! Thanks so much for the misleading audio your advertisement. You can shove it up your acropolis (won’t be buying out of principle).
App hardly worked from a technical standpoint. From a content standpoint, just completely useless; too boring for kids and not enough information for an adult. Really shameful.
The automatic playing of videos was great thanks to geolocalisation. However, the English should definitely be better… I love the Greek accent in English but it was hard to follow and the texts are full of mistakes. We ended up reading the texts instead. Wish I hadn’t paid extra for this.
The app is very bad. Unresponsive (on the latest iPhone), jumps from audio to audio, the narration quality is not good either. Chose another tour is you can.
We used this for a tour of the acropolis in Athens and it was great. It really allows for flexibility, eg we did it all backward so we could get to the top first and work down. The gps is great so it knows where you are and will tell you when you have reached a new stop. Very informative tour and the English is fluent.
This app does not work, the audio stops mid way through very often. Also the text is very basic and poorly spoken (English). Not worth it.
