KORG Gadget 2 Le Reviews

Great App But Bad Paywall

Quonkeee on

United Kingdom

I’ve been trying out the free LE version and love it, so much that I’ve now bought the full version. Very dissatisfied to find that I cannot export my LE tracks to the full version! Surely that is a no brainier. I can’t even export LE projects as a MIDI file to the full version. Really very bad implementation. 3 stars because I now need to recreate all my projects again.

Needs a little work on accessibility

SecTech on

United Kingdom

This app and Korg module are brilliant but being visually impaired this application requires a few minor tweaks to work correctly with apples VoiceOver. Some of the buttons are either unrecognised or red as button rather than the true function. Hopefully Korg, you can fix this as I am really enjoying Korg module and I would like to use the sound libraries in this app for more sequencing. This is now one of my only options to get the use and benefit of the Coorg sound library as I was told by Korg that the Nautilus would never be made more accessible, I am limited to virtual since on these devices. Hopefully, Korg this is a easy fix :-).

Money grabbers

RxffRxt on

United Kingdom

So i have this on switch. I have made countless songs on there but the switch isnt as portable as the phone. The ONLY way to export the files on switch is to export it to the FULL VERSION on ios. So pretty much these money grabbers want you to pay for the same thing TWICE just to export a file. They could let me export on the free version? Why can’t i? Whats the logic or reason? There could be many ways to do this and get around this WITHOUT the use of IOS, a simple save MP3 to the SD card would work? Or even have a autogenerated email service where you put your email in and it sends the bounced down MP3 file to the email you put in… many ways around this, but no they decided the best way was through a pay wall. Scummy business tactics. I was considering buying the full version on ios anyway for my ipad but purely based on principle alone i wont until they change it, dont give them your money, they won’t do anything good with it. How can I recommend this to a friend? I can’t because there are many other alternatives that are just as good and don’t require a pay wall to export. Bad business strategies, you treat your buyers well and you will get more. They are your livelihood. Idiots.

A decent and functional demo

JDEzekude on

United Kingdom

KORG Gadget 2 Le is a bite-sized demo version of KORG Gadget 2 which allows you to create music using dozens of synthesisers and drum machines. This demo allows you to try out three gadgets from the full package: a drum machine, an analog synthesiser and a PCM synthesiser. With these three gadgets, you can create simple melodies and beats which may pass off as decent demos for future songs. Personally, I prefer the Nintendo Switch version of the original KORG Gadget over this pint-sized demo. I find it easier to navigate through the interfaces using a controller than I do with a touch screen. The Nintendo Switch version may be considered outdated since it doesn’t feature as many gadgets, effects and other mechanics as KORG Gadget 2, but I believe it’s perfectly functional and more easily accessible than its iOS counterpart. If anything, I would only recommend KORG Gadget 2 on iOS to newbie music creators who don’t own a Nintendo Switch and want to make music as a hobby. If you’re looking to get into serious music production, you’re better off trying out popular DAWs (digital audio workstations) like Ableton Live or FL Studio before buying them. All in all, this is a decent demo which gives you a taste of the KORG Gadget 2 experience. If you’re fine with making basic music on a smartphone, then go ahead and buy the full package. If you’d rather make studio-quality music, be it as a hobby or for a living, then you’d be better off with Ableton Live or FL Studio on a computer.

Great app! Maybe add Electribe series and Keyboard for the Electribe.

Please maybe include the Electribe and add the keyboard for melody’s to the Electribe.

I love this app, it’s easy to use and you can make great beats on it. I definitely would recommend it. I have had no problems with it either.

Does not work with nano key Bluetooth

quikgunmurugan on

United Kingdom

Korg are unable to fix this issue for months now - my nanokeystudio doesn’t connect via Bluetooth on iOS 13 and korg gadget. Main reason I got it was to use with korg gadget as per korg advertising. This is a widely known issue for some time now with no fix in sight.

Awesome

I’m limiting myself with the free version for now- because it’s amazing! Such a good app! Can’t praise it enough! Superb!!

Great stuff

I can't wait to unlock this for $38. Once I've done this I'll be able to spend up to another $200 unlocking the rest of it. Wonderful! Wish I could spend more!

Great app

Songsticks on

United Kingdom

This is a superb app and I’d like to get full version when I can afford it. What I’d like to see is the ability to buy individual modules so that people can gradually build up the full set. Waddya say Korg, any chance of that?
