Loopy Pro is a work of art. Pure genius. If you haven’t got it yet, get it! You won’t be disappointed. Hats off to Michael @ A Tasty Pixel

Having played around with a lot of looper hardware and software, my search has finally ended. This is the one. Customisable in terms of functionality and appearance, loaded with all the features I need and many more I didn’t know I needed, and it’s still being continually improved and developed. The community is great, helpful and knowledgeable. Compatible with a wide range of apps, audio interfaces and MIDI controllers. And it looks great, too.

Loopy Pro is fun, intuitive and customisable to individual needs. I use it mainly in AU3 mode to precisely set a loop length and audio threshold. Meaning input will be recorded only when a sound is detected and stop at the exact required length. New features are regularly added and bugs squashed. The one serious downer is the continued absence of full editable audio tracks. The developer has them on a vague roadmap, but believes other features make more business sense. For me, many of those features are things I will never use, so instead of the one stop shop I’d hoped for, I find myself recording loops in LP then shifting to the other LP - Logic Pro - to do everything else. That said, Loopy Pro is a top quality product for IOS musicians and sonic dabblers alike. Recommended.

I’ve been sampling stems from 80s and 90s rave tunes downloads from iTunes, using lalal.ai and then mixing them in this loopy pro app, it’s good for the amateur to do funny dance mixes and is 86% good enough but not quite pro yet but getting there. The only cons is it doesn’t always mix and need to change pitch and speed setting to get it right. But it’s sounds brilliant when it snaps in, I wish that could be automatic with Ai like acid pro or Traktor. It will improve I hope. Good overall idea.

Well the seven day free trial is the perfect way in! Seven days later I’m happy as can be! I use acoustic guitar and iphone with Midi guitar 2 running AUV3 instruments and was pleasantly surprised by a new found clarity. Best sound I’ve managed so far after years of trial and error! I guessing that the mixer and signal chain is cutting edge and I get a feeling that latency is all but gone. I’ve only just got started so maybe I’m at the novelty stage which could wear off? Honestly… I think I’m just hooked by what I hear and see!

Can’t even record one loop because everything says you need to pay at least testing the basic functions would be good before charging Im aware there is a trial but it seems very expensive for the app

this must have the most unintuitive app design when it comes to how monitoring and routing are implemented. The manual is appalling for a paid-for app. I managed to cobble a working rig, but a few hours later I already no longer understand why it is working, so that gives some idea of how hard it is to figure out what’s wrong when it’s not working.

Surely one of the best apps for music production I’ve ever had.

Awesome App, this has given me a revived interest in music, trying different effects and looping different sounds and instruments. Takes a little bit to get used to but with the help of you tube the learning can be great fun.
