Language Translator by Mate

I’m supposed to pay upfront to see what it can do - nope. I’m supposed to pay upfront for something I don’t know what can do AND its last update was a year ago - nope. “7-day trial” it’s already shady enough, let alone a possibly non-cancelable “7-day trial”.

As the title says this is the quickest I’ve ever reviewed something ever. Worked fine for 10 seconds before abruptly telling me the trial is over ? Did they think because they have a monopoly in this new and small safari extension store that they would able to boldly use such a strategy ? Zero stars and they can get wrecked mate👎🏽

This is the worse translation app I have tried I will still use Google

I had already downloaded the app and set up a 7-day free trial subscription, with Apple subscription approval. Then, I typed in my Apple subscription email. Rejected. Deleted the app. Reinstalled it from the app store. The same email was inputted as before. Rejected again I wasn't asked to register separately, so what should I do, Mate? (very Australian)

This is not for the average user. @£43.99 per YEAR - this is aimed at those users above. It’s a real shame, because this app is Very Good at what it does. Personally, I’d be OK with £12.00 per year (Individual User), or, say, £19.99 One-Time payment.

The app is great, the only problem I seem to have is with Latin. I’m not writing this review to judge the accuracy of Latin, when it works it seems to be better than other translation apps that feature Latin such as Google Translate. However, when I’m translating to Latin, the app suddenly decides it’s not connected to the internet even though it is. I’d go to translate and it would come up with an error saying Network Error The internet connection appears to be offline. - I try to disconnect and reconnect my phone from my Wi-Fi, but that doesn’t help, even shutting down my phone and powering it up again, doesn’t work. If it wasn’t for this connection issue, the app would be great. Thanks for the help!

I disabled the pop-up when a text is selected and I still get it. Translate pages would look better than this ugly and clumsy interface if we could simply use the share sheet and click "Mate". Instead of looking and scrolling through all tiny extensions and then bringing up this huge pop-up with settings you only need to set once and a huge logo. I wasn't offered a way to pay monthly and I paid yearly but I regret at the moment. Oh and there's no camera/photo translation..

I tried out your app only to find out that the Portuguese you offer is Brazilian when I want European Portuguese. There is a huge difference between these languages, they originated from the same source but have developed completely differently. You should make this clear instead of wasting people’s precious time.

It would be great but for some reason the app is choosing itself the languages it is translating from and into. You want English to Spanish? App knows better. It will translate from French to Polish and there is nothing you can do to change it. Great when it works but overall I'm a bit disappointed.

We definitely need image translator like the other well known app. Good app which is lot better than others I used but it would be great if we can get image translation too like Google translator. Look forward hopefully to updated version
