Mate är en otroligt kraftfull översättarapp som är djupt integrerad med iOS. Den gör det enkelt att översätta ord, texter och tal var som helst i din IPhone eller iPad. * Safari-tillägg. Översätt direkt i din webbläsare. Markerad text eller fullständiga sidor. Aktivera Mate-tillägget genom att klicka på delningsikonen i Safaris verktygsfält.
* Delningstillägg. Översätt i Mail, Notes, pdf-filer genom att markera text, välja Dela och sen Mate från delningsmenyn.
* iMessage-app. Skriv meddelanden i ditt eget språk; Mate kommer att översätta dem direkt och sända dem i mottagarens språk och vice versa.
Widget. Översätt urklippsinnehåll genom att hålla i Mate-ikonen på startskärmen eller från sökskärmen.

Don't buy before you try
Free trial on iPhone iOS 15.8.2:
Selecting anything more than a few words on a webpage and asking Mate to translate, the wheel just spins and spins, I just give up the translation never arrives: it does translate short sequences though, so I know the translation as such isn't busted.
I enable both "Show translation button on selection" and "Auto-suggest to translate websites" in the extension in Safari and tap "Done", and when I open Mate again (in Safari not the app), they're both disabled. Sometimes one of them are still enabled and sometimes both, but on refreshing the page or going to another url or opening a new tab or switching to another tab, one of them or both are usually disabled again.
But regardless if they're enabled or not, selecting text *always* shows the Mate translation button whether I want it or not, there is *never* any suggestion to translate websites, and the "TRANSLATE THIS PAGE" never reacts at all, *nothing* happens.
And on top of all this, if I quit the translation of a selected text (because it takes too long) by deselecting the text, Mate stops responding: upon selecting another text the translation button shows up, but it's a dud, it doesn't react at all. The only way to get out of this stalemate (no pun) is to refresh the webpage.
I think you can understand that I'm giving Mate the lowest grade on App Store and cancel my free trial immediately.

Forces to create account, but does not give an option to sign up with Apple. Isn’t it a violation of App Store rules?

Early adopter and supporter of Mate Translate. Purchased a lifetime license for their application but suddenly it stopped working, and Gikken is ignoring my support ticket requests since a few months back. Avoid these guys

A no brainier vrs the data trawling Google Translate. Using Mate I know my privacy is put first. Great support too! We’ll worth it.
Bug/slow in Safari Browser
I am happy that it supports the safari browser but seems to be bug/slow. Each time we have to refresh or translate manually for each time.
Mate instead of Google Translate
I am very happy with the privacy policy of Mate, it has made me to completely forget about Google Translate plugin in Chrome, Apple native translator and Google Translate on iOS.
Furthermore, I can see that my mother tongue is available in the translator and I can use it offline. I’m in my first days of trial, and I will join for a yearly subscription.
Can’t translate without identifying yourself. Scary!
