I tried the first levels and overall they were really good. The app is simple doesn't have too much going with a bunch of extra features you’re not gonna use, which is perfect for slower devices. I think the app would be perfect for anyone who wants to practice learning and writing Hiragana, katakana, and kanji along with grammar; however the app cost $11 to unlock all the levels.
This has to be one of the best learning app.
Even though in the App Store there is no ‘in-app purchase’ warning, the app is actually not free. I spent good time getting started to find that after 2 lessons, there is a pay-push. This is dishonest, I uninstalled right away. There are better paid Japanese writing apps.
It would be more helpful if I could learn more than like 8 characters of katakan and hiragana. I guess I can’t expect everything for free. I wish there was an ad version, tbh.

How can I sync progress between my iPhone and iPad?
I’ve been using this app, along with Learn Kanji! to refresh my Japanese after many years of neglect. I like the breakdown of learning one row at a time. The review mode seems to be really good at picking up where I’m having trouble, and drilling me on those. I will occasionally go back through the lessons to drill a particular row, it would be nice if there were a way to drill a particular column at a time (a, ka, sa, etc…).
First lesson of hiragana ask to draw 'a' but don't let you draw more than 2 stroke before judging it is wrong
