SENSOR ALERTS Get notified when a new sensor is started, and when a sensor and app lose connectivity [3, 4]

Losing connectivity

Raison Monkey on

Not sure whether others experience this but I will lose connectivity for a few days - this is frustrating as I need to monitor my husband’s glucose as he has memory issues and I’m still working.

Alarm needs improving.

marykirkipod on

I set my daughters readings to 4.2 for when her sugars are low which is great, but if she can’t get her sugars up fast enough, the alarm doesn’t stop and is triggering to her. I’d like the alarm to go off every 5 minutes, giving us enough time to deal with the hypo. I’d also like there to be able to tick a box indicating that I’ve heard the alarm and am working on the hypo. If I miss the alarm, it should activate again 5 minutes later. I’d also like the option of being able to choose my own alarm sound. I want one for low blood sugar and one for high blood sugar, that way I can tell what’s happening without going to my phone. Otherwise it’s been a great help catching the hypo’s before they occur.

Feature request

I think it would be really helpful as a carer if someone with diabetes that their logbook entries such as a connection with a smart insulin pen etc. could also show up on the LibreLinkUp app so I can more easily see her insulin details etc. without having to go on her phone on her LibreLink app

Useful app - thanks!

I use LibreLink to send my BG data to my Garmin watch. It works reliably. This helps me manage my glucose levels when I’m in the middle of a long workout or hike.

Alarms don’t work

klmjro on

I have this set up with my daughters sensor and the alarms continually do not work. Despite updating app and having blue tooth on etc Still doesn’t work. You need to fix this because my daughters sugars go to 2 and alarm doesn’t work for her app or this link up one.

new log graph is a good view of last 12hours could be good to view back for for say a week. The log book seems to just log random settings could do highs lows peaks and last checked points. greg.

Libre 2 Review

Huk46 on

Before the new control app was installed, my wife, for whom I’m carer, felt the Libre2 was a godsend. She was diagnosed Type 1 diabetic when she was 17 to & is now 63. The relief from manual testing was immeasurable. However, this new device we have just begun using is frustratingly annoying. There is always some alarm going off. I don’t mean hi/Lo BGL as that is essential but eg. if Helen puts her phone down on the lounge on the side opposite to her sensor the loss of signal alarm sounds. If she goes to the toilet/kitchen etc & leaves her phone in the lounge the alarm sounds but many times she has the phone adjacent to the sensor & loss of signal alarm sounds. With my phone, we can be side by side & I get an alarm as it hasn’t received data from Helen’s phone for more than 30 minutes. To be honest, we wish we could revert to the old system. It was a much less frenetic experience. Regards, Gary & Helen Huxham

Needs a widget

Mrs Watto on

We are happy with the new update but it needs a widget. So you can glance at the Lock Screen on your phone or watch and see the levels of the person you’re caring for.

Poor provider communication

Bec Mama on

Updates without prior notice. Elderly relative using sensor, has no technology skills. Family supporting her are racing around to help the sensor and app work. No prior notice provided by provider to help better preparation/smooth transition to new features or updates. Now the sensor keeps dropping out of service leaving elderly relative at risk of poor sugar level management outcomes. This is causing all great distress and worry.

Awesome app but needs extras

NJL87 on

I think the person with diabetes should also be able to share their food intake and when they give themself insulin and how much. My husband has to screenshot and send me how much insulin he gives so I’m aware. That would help me track and learn how his body reacts to insulin.
