I really like the app, just came back to it from mfp, but really missing having my own recipes in one place and being able to edit them. I used to be able to do that a while back using Lifesum, please bring back that feature.
I used this app on Android but I can’t seem to get by the sign up and login screen whatever I do
I have used Lifesum for YEARS and recommended it to everyone. No more! I don’t want AI calculating what I eat. I want to put it in and used verified nutrition information like before. It’s fine if you add it to the photo option, but let me put my food in like before! It doesn’t even let me choose my own portion size, unless I scan an item, but I don’t eat a lot of prepackaged food.
Cannot STAND this new update and I’m forced to use this stupid app until April since I already paid for the 6-month subscription last month. It is absolutely horrible and not user friendly at all. It’s not the same app I loved anymore and I have canceled any subscription renewals. 0/10 will never recommend this app again. If it’s not broke….don’t “fix” it.
I’ve used Lifesum for months. The recent changes to the app are terrible. I cancelled my subscription. I loved it before the recent changes.
The December 2024 update through me through a loop. The update made tracking drastically different and was reliant on AI. I now see I can “turn off” multimodal tracking. And my old LifeSum I know and love is there! The app has a great dictionary of foods, some accurate, some not. The visuals are great too. Much better than “other apps” that have pop ups and ads.
This new app update is awful. It very cumbersome and has removed all the features that I started using the app for. I will be ending my membership.
I used to love this app. So intuitive and pretty. The new update not only changed the aesthetic but it made it so much harder to track meals. I won’t be renewing.
I’m not one to normally leave reviews, let alone negatively comment on UI updates for apps, but this most recent rebrand/update for Lifesum has been not a poor experience for me. For context, I have been using Lifesum premium since probably 2018. While it was not always “perfect,” it definitely was user friendly and great for helping me stay on course with my eating habits/macro tracking depending on my goal at the time. With this new update, it’s impossible to track basic meals or ingredients without having to wait a minute at a time for the AI machine to “suggest” one to add. Even then, I will never know my nutrition breakout by meal times anymore (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack) since the AI machine assumes what time of day you ate it. For example, I did not eat “wedding cake” for breakfast yesterday but that is how it tracked it. Or, I spent time tracking all of the ingredients in my breakfast, adding them, and then in the full day profile, it only showed one or two of the foods I tracked. Overall, I’m pretty upset by this new experience and don’t think I’m going to continue with the app anymore.
