Love how simple and clean this app is. Does everything I need it to without all the cruft.
Was looking for a percentage based lifting app and saw this app recommended on Reddit. I am following SBS, Tactical Barbell and 5-3-1 methodology (% of 1RM) and this app nails it. Although there are other apps out there, this stands out because there is a Apple Watch version (that works) and is infinitely customizable. Unlike Strong, the app is actively worked on by the dev and responds quickly to comments/suggestions. I have yet to find a con with this app. Whatever type of lifting you do, you can’t go wrong with this app; your search is over.
One useful addition would be basic treadmill and stationary bike support so my entire warmup + simple cardio sessions were all in a single app But this app does one thing and does it extremely well, very happy to pay and not have to think about the paperwork while lifting weights!
I actually really like this app, and don’t mind paying for it, but it definitely needs some updating. If you start with, say, 10 pound lateral raises but next workout you do three sets of 12 pound lateral raises, either the default weight needs to increase to 12 pounds or the option to raise it post-workout needs to be there OR have it as an option in settings.
Having tried a number of apps previously, this one has turned out to be the best. It is the most versatile and individually configurable. All types of exercises are at your discretion to upload into a specific workout. Along with the added benefit of being able to add/delete or modify those exercises during a workout. Also provides for ongoing tracking of your progress along with incremental “push” to increase workload. As it applies specifically to weightlifting, it provides for warm up sets (or not - can be skipped depending on the day of the workout). As mentioned incremental plan (for instance when using a 5x5 Strong format workout). Timer between sets, calorie count being expended. Added bonus feature: shows what you lifted previously (number of sets, reps along with the weight required on the bar) I have been using it this app for over a year. It works flawlessly. The developer (Valter) is responsive and continually improving the versatility and performance of this app. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely solid great interface, reliable watch support, easy workout creation and adaptation during a session. Continual improvement won me over
Plain and simple. I tried a lot of them, and most are either too complicated, don’t have enough options or are just ugly and not modern. Liftin’ is not perfect, but the dev is very responsive and shows a willingness to improve his app on many facets. The potential is there for Liftin’ to become to go to app to people like me that goes too the gym with a plan in mind. I like that he’s passionate enough about his app that he’s trying to take advantage of every tool Apple gives him: - watch app; - widgets; - iCloud backup; - etc.
Very easy to use and great app for a routine workout.
