The best app to learn Spanish! Loved it!
Wish I thought of that
This is exactly how I learned French. Watching TV and having fun. The extra learning tools, like the interactive subtitles, the ability to hear words you click on and Flash cards are simply super useful. I picked up a few Spanish shows that I really enjoy - just for fun. Love it.
Just watch Netflix
A tiny selection of super low quality, unwatchable content. Most Netflix produced shows have dubbing and subtitles in French not to mention a wide selection of content directly from France now, and this app does not provide any content otherwise unavailable in the US, so there is essentially zero need to pay for it.
Most applicable
This closes the gap of actually understanding Spanish speakers. Listening to videos with subtitles in both languages and the ability to slow it down is super helpful
Nice complement to desktop but lacking essential features
So far I’m overall impressed. In particular I love the applets (eg flash cards) that are built around stored vocab. However, the primary reason for me to use the mobile app is to download videos to watch on flights and currently in the app there’s no way to see “My List” of tv shows which is incredibly annoying. Edit: so it turns out there’s a panel in the home page with my list but there’s no way to view a single page with just my content - would be really nice if they added a filter or made the section “tappable” - I’m going to give 5 stars bc overall I think this app and service is pretty amazing and a game changer for learning languages.
Do not use with Apple
I purchased this through the Apple App Store and when I try to login on Chrome it will not work. Also the library of Netflix shows with Russian extension is terrible. False advertising. Don’t waste your time or money with this program.
