Needs improvement in language support and content variety
I was excited to try out this app, but unfortunately, it fell short in several key areas. Firstly, some of the subtitles are incorrect, which makes it challenging to follow along accurately. Additionally, there are limited options for shows to watch, which is quite disappointing considering the variety available on other platforms. There are some more options available if combined with a Netflix subscription.
One major drawback for me is that the app does not support traditional Chinese characters. As someone who primarily uses traditional characters, this significantly impacts my ability to enjoy and learn from the content.
Lastly, the feature to slow down the audio for beginners actually makes it harder to hear clearly and distorts the audio quality. This counterproductive effect hinders the learning experience rather than enhancing it.
Overall, while the app has potential, it needs significant improvements in language support, content variety, and audio functionality to be truly effective.

Dear developer,
As an app it is pretty good but I hoped to learn Indonesian.
Annoyed at subscription
I was charged the full amount with no warning snd I am so upset because it’s not cheap. I cancelled my subscription and I have asked for refund but now I can’t even log in to make a complaint and request a refund. I’m so sick of these apps. Do much time wasted managing them snd complaining snd trying to get money back.
I like Lingopie but the app is not Split View compatible.

My only criticism would be that very rarely the subtitles aren’t accurate. It would be good to have a reports button but there isn’t one.
Fantastic concept, app not quite there
I love this concept and am really enjoying the shows so far. The app needs a few modifications for usability. For example:
- I find it hard to navigate through shows. Doesn’t seem to be a search function?
- better grading of content/categorisation by level (I.e. beginner, intermediate, advanced) content would be appreciated, though I love the option to change the speed of the videos.
- ability to delete flash cards, I keep accidentally clicking words I know due to speed of subtitles. Accordingly I have a list of words I know and can’t delete them.
- conversely, maybe ability to confirm you want to add a flash card before it is added to your deck?
Overall, keep up the great work and can’t wait to see where this app ends up
