Listening: Text to Speech

Fist of I need to say that I did pay and use this apps full version while researching for my thesis so I am not a random fake reviewer. There are countless free apps that work flawlessly as browser extensions to save any kind of page/ article and not just pdfs(starts with zo and ends in tero), but this needs special attention to save your literature. Those other apps also provide you with free tools for citation too. If not of extra help for article and thesis, then why not just get an audiobook service??? Or just get gpt4 that can provide you instantly with any info you need from the paper, better yet a combination of a free pdf reader, gpt and something like zotero. I really don’t understand this application and it is not cheap either. Also something else I didn’t fully get, I am pretty sure you can only listen to papers on a mobile device…. Why not computer where you actually do your research? I am sorry but being a product and service design engineer myself, I can’t see a single reason that this is worth spending money for.

I love the voices on this app they sound more natural then the reading websites my instructors give but it bugs and lags a lot. I like to listen to with it sped up and it lags even more. Sometimes it takes forever to scroll and it takes like 10 seconds just to read the next word sometimes.

I haven't been able to use the app/subscription in any meaningful way. The 'app' itself shows up as a blank screen and I have to go to the website to use. Even then it is not work the $99 annual fee that I paid. I have sent a support request through the website and no response. Seriously considering taking the loss and just switching to Speechify

This app wouldn't even let preview it. It seems like it might be a good deal but when I actually paid for it, it was super slow converting text to speech compared to every other speech converter previewed. Also it doesn't give you the ability to paste text into ai note so that's really important because that's what I actually use it for.

I like to listen to nonfiction articles and sometimes academic papers with a strong humanities and social sciences bent. So far it is serving it’s purpose well with a fair yearly price point. The price point compared to competitors was one of the deciding factors for me. Some features I would recommend to enhance user experience: on conversions of online articles keep the source url accessible after conversion. Also, enhance search capabilities. Can the content in addition to titles be searchable? For notes as well? thank you

I love the program but I definitely feel like there should be a few more features, such as the ability to create folders for files and highlight certain texts to go with our notes.

Buyer beware. I hardly used the service and got an annual renewal charge notification from my credit card. I immediately cancelled the same day. This was a exactly 1 year after subscribing. There was no confirmation other than the webpage, which I unfortunately didn’t screenshot. I left messages at the provided number but got no response and haven’t been able to contact the company in any way.

Don’t listen to the ads. Voices are no where near softwares like elevenlabs
