This guy is a genius!! wow!

I love it. I’ve been searching for a hardware looper for some time and still love the idea to control everything with some footswitches, but the versatility of loopy pro is unrivaled. And of course if you put enough effort im it you CAN control quite a bit with hardware switches via bluetooth midi commands. But tinkering around you actually find out - you really don’t need it. So thank you so much for creating this unbelievable tool. While it is really easy for the beginner to get started, as you proceed - the possibilities are endless!

I love this DIY approach where you just the build the workflow you need. I use this software more as a 12 track mixing desk on steroids where the inputs are mainly hardware synths with some clips fired in LP and “only” 1-2 auxiliary live loops. It’s working pretty well and seems to be pretty resource efficient with all this inputs, several big clips playing and about 30 dedicated AUv3 effects active. Zero lags or dropouts and only 30-40% CPU on my 2020 iPad Pro. Bravo! Overall my experience is like it must have been in the mid 00s when switching from Cubase to Live. I already see myself not using anything else for performances (which is my main focus) in the future. But I hope the focus of LP stays on the live musician. That said, it has it’s rough edges. There’s no support for multi-bus plugins like needed for side chaining and the custom UI faders/knobs lack a VU meter which is crucial when there are many sources. While basic UIs are easily built, the current system needs to get more sophisticated to avoid duplication of components in multi-page layouts. The UI/UX is also struggling when there are many dedicated plugins active because some menus get cluttered and hard to navigate. (Ie all the a,b,c versions nobody can remember) I’m also wondering who’s actually still using IAA to justify the waste of space when browsing. Speaking of plugins, LP brings some but I barely see the advantage here. Their UX is not that good and I fear this could derail the focus on the core product.

Loppy Pro has long been my favourite DAW. It's almost on the iPad what Ableton is on the computer. Especially when working with midi and recorded audio, it is fantastically intuitive to use. It has replaced AUM for me due to the far better integration of audio. Now if only the linear composition area was better and more functional, as well as direct midi recording integration, it would be perfect. Sure, you can import midi via plugs like Atom or others, but it would be nicer to be able to import and edit it directly. Whether the update cost model and the name are really clever is open to debate. But in any case, Michael Tyson is always maintaining and improving it. Good man. Keep up the good work.
