I’m absolutely sick and tired of trying apps to use with my iPad Pro utilising its fantastic LIDAR camera.
Like everyone else, I’m sure , I needed a fully functioning free version giving me the basics before moving on to pay a subscription
Today I loaded up Magicplan and started to scan a room and was absolutely delighted that there was no confusing mesh overlay. Just straightforward lines and corners , verticals and horizontals, and as the scan progressed there was a 3-D model appearing.
Congratulations to the developers of Magicplan, I can truly say that you have done it , thank you so much for my free version which I will use to develop my skill and hopefully soon being in a position to purchase subscription

Downloaded as a first step to help draft out options for a new house build. Importing a photo of architect drawing then overlaying amendments is working really well. A promising start.

Magicplan better than all others!
I downloaded and tried many LiDAR floor plan creation apps and Magicplan is the best. Using iPhone 14 Pro Max, it measured brilliantly and adding colour to rooms was a breeze. They give you two free floor plan spaces so you can relax and thoroughly get to know the app well.
It’s not intuitive and expensive. A fatal combination
It may be good if you can actually use it. But for me I’ve downloaded it, created the account and I’m now trapped in a loop with a splash screen that takes me to magiplan on the apple App Store, from where I go back to the app and it’s splash screen. Restarting app does not work and there seems no way out.
I could use this as an opportunity to see what their support is like, but to be honest this is seriously anti intuitive and suggests strongly that usability is something they don’t prioritise. So not for me

This app is incredible, it’s easy to use, diverse, creative, and it even doesn’t scam you for your money!!! I recommend this to anyone for any project. I was able to see my plans for a caravan design, and it’s so helpful! Absolutely amazing. 🤩🤩🤩
