Very useful for consulting work and personal development. Tons of smart features but it takes time to wrap your head around them. Also lacking in clear instructions but it's definitely worth the effort!

Nice feel and look. Some functions still missed. But great with sync between IPad and Mac.
This app is great and I highly recommend it. There are however some quirks that I wish could be fixed: 1. It’s hard to find where to change excerpt link directions. 2. It’s not clear if my mindmaps and documents are synced to the cloud or not. I would like to get some sort of in-app notification saying that things have been synced.
Afaik this is the only app that has this feature. If you make it possible to set handwriting as the default for note comments I’ll buy pro. At the moment you have to first minimize they keyboard and then tap on the handwriting icon before you can make a handwritten comment with the Apple Pencil, and I only want to make handwritten comments so I wish I could get rid of these steps.
Once you learn how everything works, MarginNote packs a lot of useful features! There are a lot of ways to use the app. One way I use it is as a replacement for iThoughts and MindNode, as a mindmap app to get control over my thinking. It’s not as nice to edit the mindmap as it is in those other apps I mentioned, but it’s so amazing to be able to link directly to a highlight in a book, video or audio. You can backup all your ideas with evidence and quickly jump back and forth between different sources to help your ideas flow. Aggressive and fairly innovative features are added, unfortunately with the compromise of many small bugs that often take a while to get fixed. But the thing that makes the app miss one star is mainly that the user interface is in many cases not thought through enough. Not a dealbreaker but when you have to go through it many times a day, it becomes annoying eventually. They have a feedback system, but havn’t fixed these things years after I sent the feedback, multiple times. Still, I love MarginNote for a good reason. It helps me think better!
Ok, you guys have some more work to do. Its utterly frustrating to use. Just a few things: -added pics cant be deleted -new highlights automatically jumps in to a favoured chapter box. In my case ch2 seems to be the favourite. Superannoying! -new highlights randomly jums into the mindmap position -merging only works after first created a child. Superannoying -”printout” the mindmap to a pdf should be more paper style and not just a huge map, were i need to navigate and zoom in to read. -pdf export chrashing in focus mode -evernote export overwrites previous exports even if i choose not to do exactly that Undo should be a one click button in the corner. Meny mistakes are maken during studying And a bunch more. The entire experience feels cluttered and Timeconsuming due to missing or irregular positioning of the various edit/create functions.
