Didn’t let me choose allow RSVPs now. Also am not getting any push notifications.

Glitchy as hell

Both the user app and the organizer app are very glitchy. Expect it not to load at all or tell you that you’re not signed up for any events on a regular basis. I hope they get their act together.

Glitchy

I love what Meetup allow: strangers becoming friends!!! What I’m not a fan of is an app full of glitches and it never seems to get fixed. It seems like the interface and execution could have been improved by now

Terrible and Superfluous

Features are being removed from the main meetup app so organizers are forced to use this one. There’s absolutely no reason for this to be a separate app considering the developers can’t even get one to work properly.

It’s broken right now - May 29 2023

I was having this same issue on my desktop PC using any browser so I thought I’d try the app but it didn’t make any difference… You can’t change photos. I added a photo to my event yesterday I want to update the photo but when you swipe the photo and press the save button, nothing happens. It’s even worse on the app because I couldn’t even click on the X button to cancel changing the photo. I had to close the app entirely to get out of that screen. If they fix this bug, I’ll update my review.

Worst app for $240/yr fee

DO NOT USE THIS APP. I have been organizing a new group for only 3 weeks and the constant glitches, malfunctions, terrible user experience and weird layout (why is there a web desktop layout under leadership with random submit buttons that go nowhere?) make me want to toss it out the window if not for the $120 for 6mo that I already paid. I have had to email support 8x in the past 3 weeks: messages won’t send to event members when in need to announce meeting location, I’m asked to delete and re-download the app every week, can’t easily add a co-organizer, need to keep re-typing in same info for every event no option to set default eg. Covid info, the maps can’t even find a landmark location in a major city to add sometimes, members show up in the original meetup app but not the organizer app, have to go back and forth from this app to regular app to do stuff like individually message people. Save your money and your mental health and use FB or something else free to set up your groups!

Does no longer allow me to decide RSVP time. Not good for restaurant reservations OR tickets to events

Like the ease of use of the organizer app. Wish there was a way to remove photos that people post in error on events that I organize.
