Meetup for Organizers

Gillar upplägget och hur man når ut till människor på ett enkelt sätt. Har dock upplevt problem med att ladda upp nya bilder när jag lägger in en ny event. Varje gång hänger allting upp sig och jag får börja om från början.

The app shuts down all the time, a lot of the features are defect, but most features are simply missing. I’m moving my organizing to Facebook - only reason to keep my events on Meetup is for people searching for the events. Exposire is horrible though and not even my most devoted attendees see my notifications because of it. All free apps on my phone are way more sophisticated and this is the one I’ve paid the most to use, which doesn’t even get me all features.

Sad what this platform has become

Signed up for paid plan $45/mo. No longer need. Tried to cancel by going to my profile, subscriptions, cancel subscription, but it failed to do anything and I got charged another month just now. Tried again and pressing cancel subscription basically brings up a black screen with an x to close it, but no cancellation. Want a refund and a bug fix.

The increase in price isnot worth the product. I’ve been trying to post an event for 3 days and I just get a swirling. Just won’t connect. Very frustrating!

Overpriced and expensive app that organizers are obligated to pay for a faulty product where I can’t even edit the text descriptions without it getting scrambled or worse, crashing the app completely. I just updated this today in December 2024 and its still not working

It was released 4 days ago but keeps kicking me out. I have to use the web version.

I have multiple large Meetup groups (thousands of members in each) and have been paying Meetup for an organizer subscription since 2017. This app and their website are absolutely awful and not dependable. Currently, I cannot even post a new event on the app without getting a glitch saying to “Check my network settings” - despite my wifi and every app working fine. There is always an issue and it’s also extremely annoying to have to have an extra app outside Meetup as an organizer anyways. The website also doesn’t let me post events without just a blank screen coming up. The customer service is zero. Most users on Meetup are trolls. I do not recommend becoming an organizer for any group through the Meetup platform.

I’ve used the regular Meetup app for awhile now and was inspired to start my own group. I foolishly did not listen to all of the organizers of meetup groups I’ve joined about how awful this app is. This is the least user friendly app I have ever used. In case I’m just stupid, I asked my software engineer husband to help me and he also couldn’t figure out this app. You have to sign in on a desktop to change your profile picture which is a massive undertaking in of itself…so why even have an app if you have to log onto desktop to complete basic tasks?!?? The organizer app is so bad that I unfortunately just decided to give up on starting my own group.

The new app is not intuitive and is difficult to navigate. Couple this with almost doubling the annual fee means this long time user will not be renewing.
