Description

Microsoft Lens trims, enhances, and makes pictures of whiteboards and documents readable.
You can use Microsoft Lens to convert images to PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files, digitize printed or handwritten text, and save to OneNote, OneDrive, or your local device. You can even import images that are already on your device using Gallery.

PRODUCTIVITY AT WORK

• Capture whiteboard at end of the meeting to keep those action items on track
• Scan printed text or handwritten meeting notes to edit and share later
• Keep your business networking contacts handy by scanning business cards and saving them to your contact list
• Choose to save as PDF, Image, Word or PowerPoint formats into OneNote, OneDrive, or local device as location

PRODUCTIVITY AT SCHOOL
• Scan classroom handouts and annotate them in Word and OneNote
• Scan handwritten notes to digitize and edit later (works with English only)
• Take a picture of the whiteboard or blackboard to reference later, even if you're offline
• Keep class notes and your own research organized with the seamless integration with OneNote

it goes to one drive and it works so well and its free!!! top job people its a public service so on behalf of millions of people thank you

Constantly logging in

Roxby Good on

It would be a 5-star review except there’s been a change in the app where it keeps logging itself out of OneDrive when you go away from it, so you have to log in again each time you want to upload the scan to your OneDrive. And you can’t use Face ID or fingerprint ID either because the OneDrive log in is over two stages. Annoying. With both Lens & OneDrive being Microsoft products you’d think they’d be smoother to operate.

If its from MS, should be good

I invite everyone to try this great app. I have been using this for a while now and it is quite handy in the absence of a physical document scanner or when you are out and about… thanks MS.

Big files tricky

smokinjatty on

More pages and the file size goes up and it dosent process, otherwise pretty cool

Cannot save as pdf

nammmti on

I have been always using this app, but the new version is no good. I can’t save pdf. The spinner kept rotating there was nothing happened. I tried several times, kill the app, restart it. Thank goodness, it finally showed the “save to file” option I tapped on it but it reopens the scan history, no pdf file can be found in the file app.

At first, a game changer. Now, a recurrent loop of sign ins to your Office account. This is both pre and post update.
