Great Savings Rate!

Great APR! on

Great APR of 4.75%. I use it like a checking account with CD savings rates. Highly recommend!

Best saving options available in Milli

Best saving options available in Milli. This is very best digital bank that I like.

Top notch, simple to navigate experience.

Big time savings!

Amazing app! I’ve been able to save so much with Milli and I especially love the Jars feature. Amazing way to save towards your personal goals. FDIC insured which gives me security that my savings are safe.

Great App, but 1 suggestion for enhancement

PABLO 38655 on

Great App. Very well laid out and easy to use. One suggestion. Can you either allow your physical address be a PO Box, or allow a second address(mailing) to be added to your profile. Thank you.

Nice look to it but the 5-10days to post funds is a deal breaker

Janes33 on

This app uses Plaid for transactions outside of Milli which is notorious for taking too long to post funds. In today’s technology achievements, it should only take 1-2 days tops. Now with the reduction in yield from 5.5 to 4.75% APY, even though the Feds didn’t reduce rates and doesn’t seem to for a while, I’m presently looking to move my money elsewhere.

jar feature is cool but transfer time is not

phia430 on

I’ve been using Milli for around 2 months now. So far I haven’t had any login or feature issues like some people have had. I found out about Milli while I was doing research on HYSAs, and I chose Milli over the others due to the high interest rate (I think it was around 5.5% when I joined in Feb.). It has since gone down to 4.75%, which imo isn’t that bad as it’s still higher than a lot of their competitors. I also chose Milli for the jar feature. I’ve always wanted a way to be able to divide my money into different sections so I can allocate my money for multiple savings goals. Though I only use Milli as a HYSA, they also have a spending account that you automatically have access to once you create an account. Additionally, they send you a physical card and there is also the option to have a digital card that you can store in your phone’s digital wallet which is cool. The app itself is pretty simple to use. I do like how you can easily navigate between spending, savings, and your jars. I also like the dashboard section where I can see how much money I’ve got in one. Creating jars is also pretty cool, as you can include how much you want to save, a savings deadline, and you also have the option to round up your purchases so the extra money goes into your jar. While I’ve not experienced any problems with the app so far, my only complaint as many others have stated is the transfer time. It takes about 10 days for money from my primary bank account to deposit into my Milli account, which isn’t the worst as I don’t really touch my savings anyway. However, transferring money out from Milli to my primary only takes around 3-5 days (I could be wrong, I only did it once but it definitely was faster to transfer out than transfer in). Personally, to get around this roadblock, whenever I did tap into my savings I just transferred the money to my Milli spending account and paid with the debit card. I had no problems with it and it went through. Though if you need the money in cash, another idea I had (haven’t tried it yet) is to do the same thing, then going to an ATM and withdrawing cash using the Milli debit card. Like I said, I haven’t tried withdrawing cash like that yet so I don’t know if it’d work, but just thought I’d share.

Straightforward

Super straightforward app. Absolutely no issues with it so far. I like that you can see the daily compounded interest right there on the home screen! And being able to customize your jars with pictures is cool too!

Bait and switch

Joined for the 5.5% APY, got reduced to 4.75% soon after. Instantly moved all my money to another bank and uninstalled.

Nice features, but they don’t inspire confidence.

TylerKcornelius on

The app seems simple and straightforward enough to use, but the way Milli operates just doesn’t inspire much confidence as a place to park large sums of money. This isn’t a deal breaker, but the “up to 5 business days” transfer time realistically means that your funds will not show up until 11:59pm on the 5th business day. I wish they’d just say that it will take 5 business days, but again not a dealbreaker. When I opened my account, the rate was advertised at 5.5%. Apparently they had already announced a rate drop to 4.75% to existing customers, but nobody felt the need to share that information with me as I was opening my account. My rate dropped before my first deposit had even cleared with no warning or communication at all. The in-app chat function is really clunky. I’m constantly typing and sending messages only to see that the second half of what I typed is cut off and just didn’t send. I’ll continue using Milli for now - I like the Jars feature, and 4.75% isn’t a bad rate by any means…but unless they make some changes to how they communicate and they fix the bugs with their app (which is the only way to access your account or the customer service chat so it’s pretty essential it functions well), I won’t have much hesitation withdrawing everything to a competing platform if I stumble across a good one.
