Why do I have to create an account to use my PX8 headphones how do I use without an account ?

New version doesn’t work anymore

App was mediocre previously and now requires account login and after which refused to recognise my Zapplin Wireless after several attempts. Back to normal BT connection as the app doesn’t offer any benefits anyway.

Another pointless forced account. But the setup works.

I needed to reset and connect my speakers to a different network. I hadn’t used the formation app since setting them up over a year ago. So now I’m forced to a new app (the doesn’t add any value to the way I use the speakers) and why do I need a B&W account to be able to configure my speakers as pair, connect them to my network, so I can use them the way I want. Which is just as airplay or Bluetooth. I didn’t need an account for the original Formation app. I can not think of a good reason that you need my email address so I can pair my speakers. However once signed up and verified the setup did work pretty painlessly. Now I intend to not open the app until I need to move the speakers to a new building again. I hate being forced to sign up or into anything that really doesn’t need it. Pairing speakers does not.

Tidal playlists

Useless as this app stands. The app could potentially be very good but when I connect to tidal i am only able to see approx 50 playlists. This is disappointing considering I have compiled 400 + playlists. Missing out on a huge customer base because of this. Still not resolved. The developer keeps on referring me to Bowers & Wilkins support when it is clearly a developer issue. Lazy to resolve!

Run away!

The typical case when companies go too far from their core competencies. Bowers and Wilkins is not and will never deliver good software. This app is not just bad and completely useless, it fits in a weird place that is not great for one thing (music control) or the other (speakers control). B&W should focus on fixing bugs ant getting the dev right, instead of producing more useless and redundant apps. Sorry B&W; great sounds but such a terrible and expensive experience this “Formation” experiment :(

Good start. With improvements could be excellent

Thank you Bowers & Wilkins for releasing the Music app. This app is a step change in functionality for those like me using Formation products without Roon. This first release is a good start but the following suggested improvements would materially improve the app and it could become excellent. - most important is the ability to control volume using the physical volume buttons on the iPhone, and ideally control volume and track selection from the Lock Screen - without this the app is very cumbersome to use as you have to unlock the iPhone and navigate to the app to do anything, even something as basic as volume control - add more linked streaming services especially Spotify (I assume this is the plan) - can you add the ability to access music files stored on the phone currently accessed by Apple Music app - can you add a speaker balance control? Without this the listening experience in asymmetric rooms or sitting off centre is extremely compromised. Thanks and look forward to future releases.

Need DEZZER Hi-Fi service

Tidal is a poor and slow streaming service, I like how it has tunein. However defiantly needs dezzer.
