Leider lässt sich die Sprache in der App nicht von Englisch auf Deutsch einstellen!

Bought a monitor to check on the baby while not at home and when the nanny is taking care. In our home wifi network the app works almost without issues but once I disconnect wifi I can only connect to the camera 1 out of 10 tries. It just keeps connecting until an error appears that it can’t connect. This is really frustrating and it seems like there is nothing I can do. I assume it’s because we are located in Asia and the servers are probably in US. But at the end even this should work. The customer support did not answer my emails since a week now.

Writing this as someone who has had the camera for nearly 2 years: we will not use vtech again. This app CONSTANTLY has problems and is not maintained with the care needed for something as important as watching your child. I have had long periods where I was constantly logged out, during which I had to jump through the hoops to get to customer service (they make you put in your model, serial number everything and wait for response) and they never helped me. But this year takes the cake because after the recent Apple updates the app just STOPPED WORKING. For over a month now, nothing has gotten resolved and I no longer have access to the camera. Just the “mobile” screen which can be off of its charging cord all of 15 minutes. Switching to a new brand this week and looking forward to it.

So was working seamlessly until about 3 weeks ago when new updates came out. Now I cannot see the camera remotely on my phone. I tried connecting my phone but the camera does nothing when trying to scan the qr QR code. What’s worse is there’s no other option.

The app is great…when it works. Almost daily I need to rescan the QR code on the monitor base unit in order for the camera feed to work. Really frustrating when it happens in the middle of the night.

This worked great until I got the new iPhone 16. Now I get alerts but can never view the camera. I’ve deleted the app and completely reconnected and still doesn’t work.

The camera will work for a few weeks, then will stop working. I will shut it off and restart it, then it disconnects within 20 minuets. If I leave it off for days it will work again for another few weeks. It’s the weirdest thing and very frustrating .

I spent a lot of time researching monitors and was really happy when I settled on this monitor. But ever since we started using it the app has been causing so many headaches for my husband and I. The most frustrating issue is that about once a day the app unpairs from our phones and as a result at any random point in the day or night we can no longer access the monitor feed unless we are by the parent unit and can repair. It’s beyond frustrating. But what’s worse, we’ve reached out to VTech’s support at least 3 times trying different methods and haven’t gotten a single response. Terrible customer service. So disappointed I’m thinking about purchasing a brand new monitor from another company. Also, if you try to leave product support in the app by filling out the form after selecting Help and Send Feedback you get a bounceback email that the email address for product support doesn’t exist!
