NETGEAR Nighthawk - WiFi App

Heel super app gemakkelijk te gebruiken het interface op de browser is ook heel goed.

Sedert we de Nighthawk hebben we in en rondom de woning super snel internet. Hij kan gerust 5 apparaten aan wanneer er bezoek is ( aangesloten op onze gastmodus). Ook onze digibox van Proximus is via achterpoorje aangesloten. Van proximus ontvingen we een versie 7 digicorder- ongevraagd opgestuurt- om versie 6 te vervangen. We kregen toen enkel zeer storend geluid op onze surround. Voorheen met de iets lanzamer reagerende (versie zes ) digibox van Proximus hadden we echte zowel excelent geluid op Tv en via surround ( aansluiting HDMI op de ARC ( audio return channel) Ik heb de ARC aansluiting naar onze Pioneer receiver moeten ontkoppelen.

Absolutely no plug and play feeling. Hours to try to connect the app. Constantly going back to login screen then failing to accept password. I do not recommend.

Cant login into app, even after reinstalling app. Admin password is not accepted and is stuck in time-out loop. Please fix. Router r7000 losses also internet connection for all devices after connecting or disconnecting a divice. I’m desperate searching for solution, Just a full reboot of router helps, but is very stupid.

The list of icons that can be assigned to devices is insufficient. What is missing? E.g. a watch icon, icons for categories of iot devices: airco’s or heating devices, solar panel devices, alarm, etc… When customizing a device with an icon and a name these often disappear. I guess that these are linked to IP address as there is no problem for devices with a fixed IP address. The problem only occurs for devices with a DHCP IP address. As such, it would be better to link customizations to the MAC address of the device.

Very easy to use app and provides great insight in your network. 100% recommended!

Remote management doesn't work from the app anymore and the feature has been also removed from the R8000

The app requires you to create an account for no reason at all except for tracking your data. Also, the app doesn’t work most of the time. It says it can’t find network ABC while on the same screen mentioning that I’m currently connected to network ABC. I was unable to enable guest wifi with this app.

Make a single version for the Orbi, nighthawk, etc
