Bought today Ac1200 dual band. Try to setup by app and can’t, says that app not support my one. But on the boxes says it does

Netgear’s slogan on this App Store is that you can easily access your features. I bought a new Netgear router and tried to use the app to switch to the new router and it failed at the very first hurdle. You can scan the QR code on the new router and it will set it up for you, but this did not happen through multiple attempts having given Netgear permission to use the camera. I then spend two hours trying to manually set it up and ended up going back to my original router. I am sure technically this new router will be good but as is often the case the user interface is very poor. Companies like Netgear time and time again forget to look at their product and processes through the lens of a customer. You would think with Apple’s success so obvious that other companies would learn how important UI/UX (user experience) is.

This app works fine but for the love of God, please stop wiping the login credentials every time you update the app !!! Would have been 4 stars if not for this. Developers should note the importance of ease of updating the app ! Thank you

Netgear, as per multiple reviews on line should hang their heads. Unfortunately I purchased a EX7500 mesh extender, what a waste of money with an app that can’t even find the extender. Tech support’s solution, you guessed it, turn it off and on again and when that doesn’t work, why not turn it off and on again for good measure. Avoid and buy any thing else except this.

Continuously crashing. Rebooting on daily basis.

Hard to setup, app struggles to connect/detect product. Definitely doesn’t put out the speed it’s receiving.

Super bit of software. Test speeds, control devices. Really easy to use.

The setup of the device was super easy. I just follow the prompts and was online without any issues!

This is the easiest set up ever… And I am nowhere near technical!
