The app is checking for new content when I re-open the app. This means I cannot continue reading the article that I left half read. It switches to the main screen so I even need to find the right issue again to continue reading. This app could be so much better with this fixed. 2nd it would be a nice feature to be able to check mark an issue, so it’s easier to distinguish which one’s you’ve read. ( I don’t like to delete them after reading)

Tot nu toe was er een handige optie om oude nummers na een zelf in te stellen tijd automatisch te verwijderen. Dat was erg handig. Sinds de laatste update kan dat niet meer en moet je maar liefst zes keer klikken om een issue te verwijderen. Balen!!!
Ik kan mijn oude purchases restoren maar geen idee hoe ik erbij moet komen om ze in te zien. Primitieve interface. En dat voor 'new' 'scientist'.
Puur slechte app om New Scientist te lezen, maar er is geen goed alternatief. - Abonnement via Zinio gaf toegang tot 'originele' lay-out, maar geen toegang tot de website. - Op de website vind je niet alle artikelen van het laatste nummer bij elkaar. Deze app is echter prutswerk. - Primitieve layout, beginnend met een plaatje en dan ingekorte tekst. - Verwijzingen naar andere plaatjes uit de originele tekst zijn overgenomen, maar niet de plaatjes. - Dikwijls wordt een link gegeven naar de volledige tekst, daarmee wordt je doorgestuurd naar Safari en daar moet je STEEDS OPNIEUW INLOGGEN. - Terugkeren naar waar je het laatst iets gelezen had is verbeterd maar nog dikwijls een probleem. Daar komt nog bij dat je buiten UK veel meer moet betalen. De 'international' versie is echter dezelfde als de UK-versie. De kwaliteit van New Scientist is hiermee behoorlijk aangetast.
I wished I didn't buy this. I liked the way the magazine looked in Zinio's app. Please make it the old style, because this is terrible.
However, the chosen format (not facsimile) raises some questions: Is the full paper version included? (One article had the same picture twice; another article was published twice with and without a picture.) Is the availability of the new issue in the App Store dependable? (There can be hours between one week's availability and the next.) If these silly problems are solved, another star may be in the offing.
