I’m talking about the Apple TV version. Here’s what is unfortunate about the UX:
Cannot quickly scan forward and back to skip intermissions etc. On the iPad you can but on the tv you have to hold fast forward and it slooowllly goes ahead/back.
Randomly jumps back in the game. Sometimes I touch the remote, maybe to skip back thirty seconds and as soon as I touch it I’m back twenty minutes. Then because of the above problem it takes a good minute of holding the ff button to get back where I was.
On the scores page you can’t see all the games of the day. If there is a large number of games that day, the blocks for each game are so big that you have to clunkily click down and scroll right to see who’s playing. Would be so much nicer if you can just click left and right on the days to see all the games and know you’re not missing any games you might be interested in.
Does crash now and then. Not that big a deal but not the greatest sign of quality.
Anyway, I’m grateful to have this option to watch hockey far in a foreign country, and really hope I can change this to a five star review soon!
Scores format
If the App developers are reading this - In the Scores section, you should really do away with Shot type as no one cares about this. The video thumbnail should then be moved to where Scores section is. This would allow clear view of the scoring summary info (Assist info etc) as often there is not enough room to show this due to the thumbnail in the way. Most people care about the scoring info rather than shot type. So this suggested shuffling would make a lot of sense. For too long I’ve been hoping for this to change. Please consider this comment.
Airplay doesn’t work!!! Many years already
