A combination of , calendar, task scheduling, time blocking AND moving all of them in time without losing track. This is Noteplan. It allows for a balance between itself and native Apple apps, be it on Mac OS, iOS or iPad OS. It keeps some processes to prepare a framework, however, adjusting to individual workflows. Developer’s support beyond reproach. Still looking, where’s a problem. None found.
The key benefit of NotePlan is the ability to link any item from a note or daily note to another day or another note. All items of the day (events, reminders, notes etc.) arrive on the same dashboard. In planning for the day, the itesm can be easily rearranged into a required structure It syncs seemlessly througout the Apple environment.
Noteplan is the best app to work with your daily agenda. Not only does it apply the principles of cross-referencing between pages, but it also works great with daily notes. So, for me, it's the perfect app for an electronic bullet journal. The author keeps developing the app and brings regular updates and a great discord community.
And i tried plenty.
Combines all the feature i ever wanted in a simple to use package - you can: - merge rich notes with todos - use backlinks - use natural language processing to create tasks / notes The only downside is that the price is a little steep. But other than that it could be the perfect 'second brain' app
The price on this is outrageous. All of its functionality can be found in other applications. Some are free. One costs €5 per month. For NotePlan, they want €10 a month for the 'personal' version. Ha. Run a search on something like 'zettelkasten', and have a look at all the other apps that do what this one purports to do better—and cheaper.
As a graphic artist and a bit of a scatter-brain, NotePlan provides a spot for everything. I use the PARA Method for folders and then everything gets sorted that way. The automated templates for pages is an excellent addition too. It takes the guesswork out of my daily to-do list. Sending links and bits of text into NotePlan to remember for action items later from other apps has become more and more useful as well as being able to hashtag them for later search. Notes (especially meeting notes) are all able to live as events on a calendar. Incredible integration. All in all, NotePlan is now a necessary component of my workflow.
When I started using this and didn’t like it, I cancelled right away. So I went to their report a problem section since that’s where you request a refund. And I was denied. I explained that I didn’t use the product and was denied again. I then emailed the company, and they told me that they have no control since it was purchased through the App Store. So I spent well over $100 for nothing.
So many tools. So many apps. I’ve tried a LOT!!! Nothing is as simple, elegant, fast, and flexible like NotePlan. I try others. I shake my head and reopen NotePlan. I love that the database of notes is just a folder of markdown files. It makes my entire library so easy to use and manage and there’s not an ounce of lockin. But I don’t need anything else. This app is amazing. Thank you 🙏
