This is the best app I’ve worked with that integrates great note taking in combination with granular todo actions. It is my core app to structure my day and be on top of everything. A big plus is the sync between MacBook, iPad and iPhone.
This app is brilliant. It can do everything that you need out of the box. But for those that want to roll up their sleeves and tinker and customize, the possibilities are endless. A helpful and friendly developer, and community makes this app my favorite that I have experienced in this space.
I tried them all. Things 3, Craft, Bear, Evernote, Agenda and many many more. Now I have an app that actually doesnt make me frustrated, freaked out and overwhelmed. Sure, there is some learning curve, but oh my, Im so happy that I have tried NotePlan. My brain is not freezing anymore. I replaced 6 apps with just NotePlan for my daily life, all planning, task management, journaling, research etc.; Ulysses for long form novel writing and Milanote for visual boards / public wikis style. Me very very happy!
Na installatie loopt de app meteen vast. Opnieuw opstarten werkt niet. Opnieuw installeren dan maar. Dan blijkt dat de app €60 per jaar kost. Rot op.
Noteplan fully matches my requirements for productivity tools: combining my notes with tasks and the ability to plan my work/live. Great support from developer: releases bi-weekly and very very quick responses when you face an issue/bug! Oh and by the way, great community as well.
Not much to say. Just the most easy and feature rice note taking app.

For years I've searched for an app where tasks and notes are seemlessly integrated. Noteplan quite simply is the best app for this.
The MacOS app is okay, but the iOS app has some major issues: frequent crashes and freezes, sync (iCloud) is slow and unreliable (frequent merge conflicts), search is slow to the point of being unusable. Please address these issues before developing new features. Update: I realised I had some (large) video files in my notes folder, and with removing those things got better (updated my rating). However, I still had some random crashes on my iPad (seems to have stopped happening with the latest update) and search is still quite slow (up to a few seconds to find a file) and I had a few cases where it couldn’t find a file even though it was there. I feel there is room for improvement in the search indexing.
This app changed the way I work. I've tried many to do apps, note taking apps, and calendar apps, but this is the first time everything comes together in an intuative way. Just give it a spin and it might change the way you manage your life.
