For what it can do, it is quite an expensive app
this somewhat similar to Agenda app, also time based notes with additional notecard system. Price tag is very high unfortunately. Overall nice design.

As a graphic artist and a bit of a scatter-brain, NotePlan provides a spot for everything. I use the PARA Method for folders and then everything gets sorted that way. The automated templates for pages is an excellent addition too. It takes the guesswork out of my daily to-do list. Sending links and bits of text into NotePlan to remember for action items later from other apps has become more and more useful as well as being able to hashtag them for later search. Notes (especially meeting notes) are all able to live as events on a calendar. Incredible integration. All in all, NotePlan is now a necessary component of my workflow.
When I started using this and didn’t like it, I cancelled right away. So I went to their report a problem section since that’s where you request a refund. And I was denied. I explained that I didn’t use the product and was denied again. I then emailed the company, and they told me that they have no control since it was purchased through the App Store. So I spent well over $100 for nothing.
So many tools. So many apps. I’ve tried a LOT!!! Nothing is as simple, elegant, fast, and flexible like NotePlan. I try others. I shake my head and reopen NotePlan. I love that the database of notes is just a folder of markdown files. It makes my entire library so easy to use and manage and there’s not an ounce of lockin. But I don’t need anything else. This app is amazing. Thank you 🙏
Keep it going, I use this app every day!
This app is great for busy individuals who work on extremely complicated projects. If you’re a person who thinks that 24hours is not enough to get things done this app is for you. Personally I do many different, complicated things. From having a homestead and selling at farmers markets to managing a manufacturing shop and working in insurance I am in dozens of meetings every week and there’s a crazy amount of information shared with me. To remember it all is impossible. This app allows me to write it down in easy to remember tasks and link it to notes where I can see the bigger picture for all the things I need to do. The app being able to link to the calendar is incredible as well! Before the meeting I can simply press the button and it brings me back to a note where all the main ideas for the specific meeting are. Since I started using this app there has not been a day where I felt underprepared for anything since it takes 5 minutes of reading my notes to get back to speed on any of the many things that I have to work on. If you’re extremely busy, juggling multiple projects all at the same time and on some days your only free time is traveling from one meeting to the next, I can’t recommend this app enough.
I love the concept of the bullet journal, but found that it was not practical to carry a notebook everywhere I go. I was also worried about what would happen if I lost the notebook, or dropped it into a puddle. There’s no practical way to back up a paper journal. NotePlan has been an excellent solution. It is a great app as a calendar, planner, journal, and keeper of notes; in short, it is a wonderful tool for a digital bullet journal. It automatically syncs to all my devices, so I always have a backup of my information. Since I always have my phone with me, I always have access to my calendar, task lists, and notes. I do most of my planning and information capture on my Mac, where I have a full-size keyboard and display. But the iPhone and iPad apps have full functionality, so I can use NotePlan effectively even on the smaller devices. The app has a lot of great features that make it easy and convenient to use for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly planning. Your data is stored in plain text files, so you’ll never be locked out of your information. It uses markdown to provide quite a bit of formatting capability with the plain text files. NotePlan can also sync with Reminders, and with iCloud and Google Calendars. Searching notes is fast, and you can link notes to make it easy to jump directly to the desired note. The app is still in active development, and new improvements are frequently being added.
I have been using NotePlan for more than 2 yrs and it has developed its capabilities to be a very practical and user friendly app for GTD. Thank you!
Not all apps are equal, this is the best I have been able to find, stick with and actually use daily. personally and in business. The development team is spectacular and continues to support the community and their product. nothing but praise for the team.
This app allows you to combine the simplicity of plain text with your own structure and workflow.
