I’ve been a huge fan of Noteshelf since its inception and purchased the new version, Noteshelf 3, immediately upon its release without any hesitation. However, I am extremely disappointed now, as my diary/planner cant be open out of sudden, even I was half way writing, it freezes and then closed without a reason. After that cant be opened again. I lost all my record now, totally disappointed!!

After using GoodNotes for years, I came back to an earlier edition of Noteshelf which I had previously bought and used, to find this upgraded version with an offer to buy the Premium version. I am so glad I did. For a start, there is an entire library of resources which are free to use to build journals, and notebooks. The tabbed notebook is simple to use and much easier to navigate than GoodNotes which requires constant changing between editing tools and navigating for links. You don’t need to do that here. Tap the tab and it instantly links you to the page in the notebook where you can continue to type, or write on the page. Converting handwriting to text is also easy with the lasso tool. The AI function is amazingly good. I have used it many times to create a quick summary, notes or examples for a topic I am studying. So far, I have not found anything to fault. This app has quickly become my favourite note-taking app. I highly recommend it.

What made Noteshelf great is that, unlike GoodNotes and Notability, it wasn’t a subscription. Even worse, those two did a bait and switch and forced users who had purchased to pay up again when they moved to subscription pricing. Well, Noteshelf is doing the same thing now. Even though they say that if you’ve purchased the one time fee version you’ll be grandfathered, that’s what the other ones said and it turns out wasn’t true. I’m switching fully over to Apple Notes. It’s actually pretty good now.

I have been anoteshelf user for many years - I use it for daily scheduling (via digital diaries) reading book summaries, and meeting notes , projects etc

I have been using Noteshelf for a while (since version 2!) for my notes and it's been excellent for me. There's so many things the app allows you to do that others do not! In addition, the Noteshelf team is very good and very open to suggestions and feedback. Love you guys and all the work you do, keep it up!

I have been using Noteshelf since the first release, it is my go to note taking app on an iPad pro with Apple Pencil 2

I have an olde model Macbook air and cannot with OS vs 12. I cannot upgrade to OS 13, and just buy a new mac is a bit too expensive. So sadly, the new version is not of any use to me.

I am long time paid Noteshelf user. I was excited to upgrade to Noteshelf 3 because of the new features and the good experience I have had with earlier versions. Sadly, not all of my notebooks migrated from Noteshelf 2 will open in Noteshelf 3, Noteshelf 3 is very slow to open notebooks, and Noteshelf 3 regular hard crashes for no apparent reason when writing. I thought the things like speed, and crashing would improve with minor updates after the first release, but nothing has changed. This very disappointing for a paid app that is a lot more expensive (compared to many other iOS apps). I wish the Noteshelf developers would fix their product.

I used Noteshelf 2 for ages, before upgrading to Noteshelf 3. It’s a great app, but is missing one tiny feature that is really annoying. On N2 you could look at documents in either landscape or portrait orientation on the iPhone and iPad. In N3 you can only view in portrait orientation on the iPhone. It’s just a tiny thing, but it’s SUPER annoying. I’m still using N2, so that I can use this feature. Please bring it back, even if it is an optional feature that can be turned on or off in settings.
