This app is close to perfect. I have Notability, GoodNotes 6, and CollaNote but usually end up back using Noteshelf. I can’t use the new planner maker or any template with a calendar, though. Although my iOS settings and country’s standards start weeks on Mondays the templates all start on Sunday. (Oh and a tape feature, such as GoodNotes and Notability provide would be super useful.)

I used to really like this app. It is well organized and the tools are convenient to use. Lately though, despite keeping up with the updates, it keeps crashing regularly not saving the last minute of writing. This is quite annoying. Also, importing files doesn’t work until I restart the app, and this, after a few attempts.
Old review:Does not show button to import my files from Noteshelf 2. Support replied, “send message from gear icon>support,” but the support option does not appear either. I’m sure they can figure this out. Updated review: Thank you NoteShelf for providing the information on how to transit from NoteShelf 2 to 3. It worked like a charm, and I am happy to be familiarizing myself with the new layout. Well done!
I work in a field where it makes legal and professional sense to document my day. I just noticed that about half the notes in my notebook have vanished. I am livid. The backup I had setup was a backup of the notebook with the deleted notes. This app is great but if you have mission critical needs, I would look elsewhere.

I started with Noteshelf many years ago. I got talked into other apps and switched. Big mistake. I use note taking apps for work and privacy is a big thing at work. I read through the other apps (you know which ones) and got scared. Instantly ported back to Noteshelf and deleted all the others. Plus I like how the handwriting gets smoothed so it looked neater. And the zoom box is infinitely better than anyone else’s.
When I started using it, it had some strange things happening with some tools. Now, that seems like a long time ago and I have no problems using it every day. It’s my favorite tool now.

I fell in love with this app as soon as I started using it a few months ago. The writing experience was smooth and enjoyable, allowing me to effortlessly jot down notes and thoughts. I appreciated how well the app handled quick writing, making my notes look clean and readable. However, after an update at the end of July 2024, my writing experience deteriorated significantly. I now encounter issues where strokes continue even when my Apple Pencil is not in contact with the screen, which was never a problem before. This has forced me to frequently interrupt my writing to erase and correct errors. It seems this might be a bug affecting Apple Pencil latency. I’ve waited for subsequent app updates in hopes of a fix and have reached out to the Noteshelf Support Team, but I haven't received a response. Despite everything else about the app being excellent, this recent issue has been a major setback, preventing it from being the perfect tool for me.
