I’ve tried all the usual suspects in note taking apps, and I keep coming back to noteshelf. The update is fantastic, with even better sync integration, displays, and better features.

I Use it Everyday
The updates for Noteshelf have been significant. Everyday I use the dairy calendar journal and the new options for landscape are great. The updated templates for notebooks has really helped in organizing projects that I work on. I use it on my ipad with the apple pencil seemlessly integrating into the projects that I work on. Highly recommended if you want to annotate notes in high quality.
Useful Every Day
I use Noteshelf 3 every single day. It integrates seamlessly with all my devices and desktop. The options available to set up different notebooks offers the perfect solution for organizing everything. I also use Noteshelf 3 to download content that I can easily annotate , file, and find again easily. The continual updates have been a perfect solution for me.

Noteshelf 3 makes the Apple Pencil better than pen on paper. It’s excellent to use.
Not working properly
Crashing while trying to duplicating a note. Won’t open a new note even after re-installing and upgrading to premium…. Help

Still 5 Stars, but. . .
I am still giving this app 5 stars because I use it everyday and I couldn’t imagine my routine without it. I love that I can import a pdf and write all over it! I love the simplicity of pens/highlighters. I love that I have over 10 years of stored notes that are searchable! But. . . they’ve added so many features, it’s getting more difficult to navigate. I understand that people want the moon, and in trying to accommodate for everyone’s wishes, one ends up with way too many choices and simple note-taking is no longer simple. I agree with a previous reviewer. I’d like to go back to #2. Anyway, thanks for a great, I know how hard it can be to make everyone happy.
Forgotten Customer
It's been sometime since Noteshelf 3 was developed. I just decided to write my review as I had to retrieve something from Noteshelf 2. I used Noteshelf almost from its origination, Noteshelf 1 and 2. I used it for everything, and referred many customers and students to use it. However, when they went to Noteself 3, they cut me off. MyMacBook Pro 2016 is IOS version 12.6 Monterey. When they upgraded one must have version 13. Well I wasn't going to spend $1800 to be able to them when my computer is still great. Therefore I changed to a different program. As I use it, I'm finding it may be better than Noteshelf 3, or at least comparable. I rated it a one just to make you aware when they decide to upgrade again, which they do every few years, be aware you might be cut off, too. Suggestion, don't put everything into one app even if app meet all your current needs.
Not Happy with App and will request refund
I just purchased the premium version. I have utilized many apps for writing, journals, articles etc. but this app is just not user friendly. I finally stumbled upon some help at settings which really was not too helpful. A navigation tutorial or a real help section would be very useful especially for a new user. I tried to find out how to insert date and time but was unsuccessful. I have used Notebooks app which is so easy but I needed an app for a PDF file without having to pay for a subscription for just one basic file. Everything I have done so far has been hunt and guess. My PDF file locked up the next day. I had to delete and start again. Not very happy about this.
